I am from Alabama and the ribs and chicken are both very good. Didn’t try any sides. Only barbecue in town I’ve been willing to try in the year I’ve lived here, and I will be back. He says he usually sells out by 12:30-1.
Great again We picked up a half rack of ribs and pulled pork yesterday. We have been visiting Choo at least a few times a year for what has now been 7 years. I've always liked stopping by, knowing there would be a couple of great meals in my very near future. We typically just get a full rack, which comes with a scoop of commercial potato salad, coleslaw, and baked beans. No sauce needed. As I recall, they use a Tennessee rub. I went to the Choo-Choo’s food truck on Hwy 301 & Old Tampa Road in Palmetto. The bbq ribs are 10/10!! Do not waste your money on the well established BBQ restaurant down the road, this food truck blows them away!! The ribs are meaty, juicy and very tender!! FYI - They’re open Fri-Sat-Sun from 9am to sellout (around 3pm).
