There are more than a few outstanding breakfast/brunch restaurants in Sarasota, Florida. One of them is Station 400 at 400 North Lemon Avenue in downtown Sarasota. Owned and operated by Dean and Kelly Fox, it is open from 7:30 to 2:30 daily and has earned a reputation as the leading go-to destination for brunch in the city. I had brunch here with a family group. The atmosphere of an old train station was interesting. Our waitress was good and food arrived within a reasonable amount of time. We were disappointed in the quality of the food, however, with the exception of my "create your own" omelet. The omelet was very good and perfectly prepared. Whatever we ordered was very good, Rueben sandwich one of the best, burgers, wraps, pretzel with beer cheese dip, all excellent. The hidden gem is the molten lava cake with ice cream and whipped cream. I’d live on it if I could!
