“It was pretty good. The food was good, but it was not great considering the price. We spent $40 for two meals. One breakfast of eggs and bacon, nothing fancy. And I had the chicken wrap. We had waters to drink. The place was super busy, so the servers were really spread too thin. Maybe they were short-staffed? The portions were really big, so that was good. Although we didn't sit outside, it looked really nice! Good place for the snowbirds, but as a local, we have other top choices!“
“Love the staff, food and location. That being said, we came here 3 times in a week. Twice for breakfast and once for lunch - each time with our dog. The breakfasts are really good: Denver omelette with their potatoes, avocado toast, even their grits are tasty. They have biscuits for the dogs as well as a fresh water bowl… what’s not to like? We leave for home tomorrow, so today was our last time for this trip!“
“We went there 2x the several days we were down here. The place is very busy in the morning, but the most we had to wait was about 20 minutes (which was fine because the weather outside is wonderful)! The staff were all pleasant and they run this place like a well oiled machine. Food was great too, and you could do lunch or breakfast all day!“
“every thing here is so perfect, they keep rverythibg clean and neat, the food and drinks are amazing the service is good they are kind abd welcoming i got the frozen lemonade and french toast donuts and theyput an extra donut on accident so whoever did that is my favorite person ever?“
“A lovely little cafe in Sarasota with service and food that matches the pretty exterior. SlI stopped by on a Monday morning whilst on vacation, and though the place was quite busy, the staff was handling it very well, and the vibe was fast but comfortable. My experience when ordering was pleasant and bright, and that was an idiom kept by all staff working at the time.I got a stuffed croissant with egg and cheese and spinach, which was quite delicious. My wife got a stuffed everything bagel with ham, egg, cheese and spinach and commented it was tasty enough that she couldn't stop eating it. I got my children elephant ears that they both liked, and my wife and I split a maple pecan croissant that was decadent and enjoyable. Overall, it's definitely a spot I'd say to stop at if you're in Sarasota, as they also had dozens of other beautiful looking pastries, a vast drink menu and lunch options.“
“Met one of the owners(son) at a bni event, rushed to get food before they closed to try it, his mom(owner) was super nice and we had a conversation while my food was being prepared. What an amazing little place, i can tell you the cuban sandwich was AMAZING, im always tasting cuban sandwiches and this one was definitely on the high score. Please support this amazing family and go try their food. I will become a regular. Batido de mamey? Absolutely ????. Gracias“
“I have enjoyed Blvd Cafe for breakfast and lunch. Love the croissants and latte and both the grilled salmon salad and flank steak with salad were delicious lunch entrees! The owner Mica is gracious and the wait staff hard-working and friendly. Great neighborhood, friendly vibe.“
“I stopped in for my first time today and had the Palmer burger with potato salad and it was pretty amazing. The atmosphere was very nice and the staff was very friendly. Palmer's has my respect and support and I will definitely be back to try the other items on the menu. Keep up the good work.“
“Just perfect. It's not often a restaurant can tick off all the boxes well. They did just that last night before the opera. Pleasant at walking in, greeted and seated very pleasantly. Service was at the perfect cadence never rushed and respectful of our opera start. Nor did anyone try to clear the table early, a practice I loathe.Meal was great and our waitress (Meredith) couldn't have been more perfect.I'll be back for sure.“
“There are lots of tables and they sat people pretty far apart to keep everyone safe. There's a few tables outside too which is nice. We were very impressed. The staff wore masks and were very kind and of course the food was excellent.“
“This is a real mom and pop establishment and it’s phenomenal. It’s just in an old house in a neighborhood but don’t let the exterior fool you. Best panini I’ve ever had. Try the chicken pesto. No outside seating and small inside so more of a to go spot in my opinion.“
“At first was not sure about this place, but after the food came I realized why this thing has a great review. Food is home style and amazing. Home made sausage has a slight hint of spice. I ordered the Brave and it was delicious.I love that it say No WiFi.You are here to eat and not do your computer work.“
“Stopped in for some coffee. Upon entry the patio walkway was busy and the main door opens to a takeaway area that was slightly confusing as you are expected to order at the bar instead. Simons Coffee House is actually a small restaurant in a strip mall. The food looked good, but we took a cortado and vanilla ice latte to go. The bar staff were nice, the service was quick and the coffee was good. It looks like they sell coffee beans to go too.“
“heard many great reviews and so glad we finally had a chance to try them. Cozy comfortable pet friendly outdoor seating was a very welcome alternative to the busy bustling inside. Fast service and a menu to die for. Delicious waffles, french toast and their special mango butter is a real treat. The fresh baked mango muffins are, seriously OH MY GAWD! Cannot wait for our next visit and try other dishes from their very creative menu and.... of course bring home more muffins.“
“The First Watch in downtown Sarasota is the one I’m reviewing. I’ve had mostly good experiences here. The food is good and although it can be kind of noisy, the atmosphere is pleasant. The million dollar bacon and bloody maries are both first rate. I’ve had two really bad experiences here and the last one might mark the end of my relationship with this restaurant. If you go on a weekday morning you’ll probably be fine. If you go on a weekend morning, you’re playing Russian roulette with your dining experience. Some of the wait staff are good or at least average. The problem is that nearly half of the wait staff don’t know what they’re doing. The first bad experience I had was with a waitress who didn’t speak English well enough to take our order. She was a really nice person, but if you need help taking an order, you shouldn’t be a waitress in the busy section of a restaurant. She also brought the bill with our food. The restaurant has a policy of bringing the check halfway through your meal that incentivizes the wait staff to turn tables over. It’s a really bad policy. The last time I ate there (possibly ever?) we had a waiter who was so bad at his job, we stopped eating and left halfway through the meal. He brought the check with the food, got both of our orders wrong, and couldn’t figure out how to bring the person I was eating with a black coffee. Mind you, this guy had the largest section on a Saturday morning. My advice: if you want something decent on a weekday, go ahead and give First Watch a try; if you like sure things or it’s a weekend, go to Boulevard Cafe, Station 400, or C’est La Vie. They all have better food and service.“
“Great coffee and great staff! Centrally located near everything I need downtown. Their prices are reasonable, and I love the tables outside to enjoy my coffee, watch the sights and talk with friends. And even make new ones. I haven't tried the food yet, but plan on it soon. Definitely going to make this my new hangout!“
“Obsessed with this spot. Very good quality, tasty food made with local ingredients. You can even get beer and wine. Great ambience. Beside a very lovely playground. We were here multiple times during out 3 week trip and will be back. Thank you!“
“Looking for the ideal spot to kick back and relax? Look no further! Whether you prefer cozying up indoors, basking outdoors, or sipping a drink by the bar, this place has it all. We indulged in their delectable tuna tataki, Avocado egg rolls, and the unique rock shrimp & blue crab lollipops — the tuna tataki was a definite win for me. To heighten the experience, we sampled an array of martinis and cocktails. The grilled pineapple caipirinha stood out, and the Texas Paloma didn't lag far behind either. Don't miss their Happy Hour— they offer an all-day option on certain days, but it's exclusive to the bar area. Make sure to check their schedule for Happy Hour deals!“
“I discovered PRENDEZ-VOUS Bakery a few months ago and have become a regular customer. It's a little piece of France in the middle of Sarasota. The bread is delicious and crisp, the viennoiseries are just perfect and the pastries are a real treat. The service is always warm and friendly. The staff are always happy to help you choose the right bread or pastry. The atmosphere is warm and friendly. The bakery has a few tables inside where you can enjoy your coffee and croissant. In short, RENDEZ-VOUS Bakery is an excellent address for all lovers of French bread, viennoiseries and pastries. I highly recommend this place!PS: A special thanks to Orlane, who is not only attentive to your needs, but also super pleasant and welcoming.“
“Place is very nice! Every Thursday they hold Smash Tournaments and it gets pretty busy. Service is great! Although it is somewhat slow compared to other places as there is only one person manning the entire operation, but the place is nice so I didnt mind the wait and it is not too long. I highly recommend it if you like anime as well! The decoration is great and they have anime running in the TV.The food is good, especially the fat boy ramen, and the coffee is great!“
“The outside of the cafe is nicely decorated and the inside is rather simply decorated, relaxing music was playing in the dining room, the floor is concrete but clean, the employees were very friendly and efficient, they have many coffee and tea choices, some delicious bakery items, a breakfast croissant, my medium roast coffee was delicious.“
“Delicious vegan food and fresh juices. Customer service varies depending on who you get...sometimes good and sometimes the staff seems to think they are doing you a favor by taking your order. Food items need to go back on the wall reader board. The pulsating music gets tiresome.“
“Small next to a number of fun shops Can be busy , has waiting list to sign in 8 booths 3 tables 8 chairs at bar Quaint simple Service workers tolerant of complaints from geriatric customers Served immediately very friendly Food in 14 m Omelette 4/5 Pancake 4/6 Breakfast sandwich 4/5 Corned beef 3/5 too dry and grainy but okay“
“We had a very good breakfast at this South Sarasota First Watch. We put our name in ahead of time and didn’t have to wait for a table. The trifecta I had was delicious-the carrot cake pancake and 2 chicken sausages were a perfect temperature. The potatoes were good but just warm. My son’s order came out a bit after ours but the waitress apologized and gave him a big side of potatoes. Overall I would highly recommend this place.“
“The drinks and cookie in this little outstanding shop are always delicious. The service is also always wonderful and those who work there are always friendly. To top it off they have a points system where you can earn free food/drinks if you go enough. Whether you are local or visiting Sarasota you definitely want to make sure you stop and enjoy some of their excellent offerings.“
“It was a lovely night. A tour of the museum followed by dinner. Oyster appetizer was excellent. Salad was generous with lobster and avocado. Lamb chops encrusted in pistachio with vegetables was also excellent. Dessert the best chocolate mousse I have ever had. Everything was perfect and the private tour of the museum by the director was enjoyable.“
“We went there for a Sunday brunch. The cafe is in the backyard of a home that is tastefully decorated resembling English tea rooms. They offer a very friendly service with a fixed menu. The food is okay but it is not the main attraction for this place. you will leave the place with a feeling that you will be back. We all had a great time.“
