It became a collectors junkie. But I strolled with my 3 kids, while waiting for the laundromat to finish drying clothes. Decided to walk over browsing his items. Interesting things. Joe happened to be there out in front. Chatted up a lil. A simply nice feller =] He then found hats and gave each of my kids cool straw type hats!
Poky Joes is rarely open. If it happens to be open when you're there, stop in! Very eccentric place. Obscure but excellent music spun by the equally eccentric owner, who I'm guessing goes by Poky Joe.\n\nBeer selection is limited. Did not try the food, but some couples eating when we were there said it was all good. \n\nBut really the place is all about the atmosphere. I felt like I was in a Carl Hiaasen or Tim Dorsey novel - that kind of place. Florida funky.
Good food. Good price. Really fun atmosphere. DELICIOUS burgers. So juicy. The homemade sides were delicious too. I will definitely be back again!
