“All other sushi places we've been to in Sarasota have been okay at best, but we finally tried Sushi Bay and wish we had been coming here all along. Not only was our server Angga attentive, but he was very friendly and enthusiastic, something you don't often get in authentic sushi restaurants, or frankly most restaurants in Sarasota, in general. The sushi rolls were generously filled with flavorful fish, and beautifully garnished. Excellent product presentation! The atmosphere was clean, neat, and welcoming. Ambiance was classy, but comfortable. The owner even came by to greet us in a genuinely friendly demeanor, which is rare for any restaurant on a Sunday evening. Pricing was very fair, especially for currently being in an economic state of hyperinflation. Bottom line is we'll be back again soon, and regularly!“
“We are regular customers for their bubble tea, our favorite in town. Their ramen bowls are huge; I always take home leftovers. We love their shrimp ramen bowl, spicy beef bowl and sesame chicken dishes. The staff is friendly and helpful with suggestions if you aren't sure what you might like. The atmosphere is clean, casual, laidback and relaxing.Parking: Conveniently located in a shopping complex with Walmart and Walgreens, lots of nearby parking including handicapped spaces“
“Down in Sarasota for two months out of the year for the past several years and discovered this gem last year while trying out different Ramen places and it did not disappoint. This is the best I have found in Sarasota. Couldn't wait to come back to Sarasota and eat here again. Tried the black garlic and Shoyu so far this and they were excellent. Waitress with the colored hair (forgot her name) was very friendly and always has a smile did a great job. Can't wait to go back this week. Try the chili oil.“
“I’ve always said what Sarasota is missing is good late night options for more than just the weekends and this place is just that. Found it on Uber eats the other night when I was craving something better than greasy fast food. I got the spicy broth ramen and it was amazing and definitely spicy!“
“If I could leave 100 stars I would!! My boyfriend and I and my parents absolutely love this place!! We have been multiple times and every time the food is always hot and fresh. Workers are so kind and food is amazing. Reasonable prices and lots of food for your buck. I will always recommend this place when recommending a good Thai restaurant. Glad we found them!“
“As mentioned on my previous review, I came back to try some ramen today. Every place deserves a second chance and fair review. Whenever I come across new ramen place, I usually try shio (clear broth) or shoyu (clear broth plus soy sauce). My belief is that it is easier to judge ramen place if ramen is simple, and not have all sorts of things added to mask the lack of umami or deep flavor or base. I judge ramen by the broth, noodles, and the toppings. All three should be well balanced. So, I tried shoyu ramen. I was reasonably impressed that it has good enough base broth, and the yellow curly ramen noodles were cooked properly. Not a "wow" but a B grade. The toppings were not too skimpy or too much. The soft boiled ajitama (egg) was on par. Could use a little more flavor but the soft yolk center was perfect. I actually prefer this shoyu ramen here than the one at Fushi Poke in downtown Sarasota. My shoyu ramen came with chashu (pork roast), naruto (pink and white fish cake, menma (pickled bambooshoots), seaweed, ajitama (egg), greens and scallions. I still think that the value is not there. Why all ramens everywhere cost close to $20? I know inflation has something to do with it, but I still think of ramen as an affordable Japanese fast food. I feel like ramen in the US is more of a novelty and priced as such. If you go to Japan today, I bet you can find a great bowl of ramen for an equivalent of $10 and still be full. In conclusion, my faith in this place is restored. At least I am willing to come back for this shoyu ramen, but not for the awful curry.“
“I have to be honest and say that after reading reviews I was a bit skeptical about coming here, but I’m glad we decided to go for it because not only was the boba really good, so was the ramen! We had the veggie and the curry ramen and both of them had plenty of flavor and were incredibly delicious. Reviews can be quite subjective when it comes to everyone’s taste but this was really good and I already can’t wait to come back! Service was also friendly and welcoming!Dietary restrictions: They do have vegan options!“
“I was having a bad day. Like the worst day of my life. And all I wanted was poke. The staff could see it in my eyes and were super nice and grateful. They checked on me and were super sweet. I got up to clean up, and there was a box of pocky waiting for me on my table and a silent smile. The food is amazing but it’s because of the service that I come in every week. ❤️. Thank you for making my day suck less.“
