“Banana River Cafe, 1301 S. Patrick Dr., Satellite Beach, FL 32937 5 Stars I swore four years ago I would never go back, yet here I am like fish from yesterfang in the parking lot of a restaurant that at one time (under previous ownership) was my number one breakfast place in Brevard County. After it was sold, it was turned into a joint that wallowed in bad food and even worse service. As I said, that was four years ago. I have since deleted that review. Now, I can say that it is safe to return to the water, but I get ahead of myself. What changed? The new owner/chef is a CIA graduate who did his externship at Michelin Star restaurant Gramercy Tavern in New York City. Emerson Krause turned down a position at the famed restaurant upon graduation to return home and bring Brevard a taste of things seldom sampled in this part of the Sunshine State. I can safely speak for all of my fellow Floridians on the Space Coast when I say, "Thank you, Emerson and welcome home!" After being seated at a delightfully decorated table (I love the paint scheme on the chairs), we were approached by a charming lady named Nicole. Nicole was outstanding in every way a service professional should be. I asked Nicole for an order of the Bacon Sea Salt French Toast, one Texan Potato Stack and a San Antonio Biscuit Bennie. Snapping a few quick pics of the warm environs, I sat back, soaked in the peaceable atmosphere and awaited Nicole's return. The aromas were enticing to such a degree; it was all I could do to take some pictures before digging into the edible artwork before me. First to saunter across my palate was a taste of the Bacon Sea Salt French Toast. One taste and I was deep in Hog Heaven. That bacon! While I love "meat candy" more than almost any other animal flesh, that is not what set this order of the tried and true breakfast staple of French Toast apart. It was the bread and execution. This bread was fresh, thick and griddled to a delightful golden brown. The outside had just the right amount of crunch, while the inside was airy, fresh and wonderfully warm. I could eat this every day and never tire of it. Heaving a sad sigh of regret, I moved on to the next dish to be sampled, the Texan Potato Stack. Every Potato Stack is served with eggs over easy on herb roasted potatoes and topped with jack cheddar cheese sauce with your choice of toast or biscuit. The Texan came with added chorizo, onion, peppers, salsa, guacamole and sour cream. One bite and again, I was done. The flavors cascaded down my gullet like so many drops of gastronomical gratification. The last to dance across my taste buds this morning was the San Antonio Biscuit Bennie. I won't bore you with any more details; suffice it to say that this was on par with the rest of the meal. Everything was cooked to perfection and the flavor combinations were unparalleled in a breakfast biscuit (if this still qualifies as such). The Big Boy says, "If it is breakfast or lunchtime, stop what you are doing and go there right now."“

“I'm a regular here but since I live in a neighboring county I don't get here as often as I'd like to. I haven't found a more authentic Greek Restaurant anywhere in Brevard or Indian River County. Food and service is always top notch. I find myself booking appointments around my Niki's visit!“

“My wife absolutely loves this place. Whether you get the insane burrito or one of the famous gringos, you can’t go wrong. This place has been serving up good food for many years. Make sure you get the rice and beans local style, you won’t be disappointed. They have a beautiful outside area to eat, which is covered by shady tiki huts. This place is awesome. Whether it’s the mouthwatering super fresh ice cream, the fresh Dubai strawberry cups, the savory OR sweet waffle options, or the phenomenal service- this place is truly 1000/10. It’s quickly become a Friday after school tradition for my dad and my daughter, they have the best time. There’s even little trinkets for kiddos; hand made crochet figures, 3D printed toys and cute homemade magnets. Whenever we go, Serena is the sweetest and most welcoming owner. It is so prevalent that her and her husband put so much love and effort into this business. You’re truly missing out if you haven’t tried it!“

“Everything was absolutely delicious! You MUST go and try the flash fried spinach and the Chef's grits. Since spinach is my favorite food, I eat it anytime, any place, but this is completely unique! Did I mention the fish was exquisite as well? I had their famous onion crusted fish, tonight it was Mahi Mahi on the 39.00 three course special. Generous wine pour too! “Sergio's Lake Washington Plaza location catered lunch for our New Home Buyer seminar with Cori Williams, Mortgage Originator, at the Dennis Basile - D. Basile Real Estate office. The Chicken Tinga was so moist and flavorful, definitely my favorite. Fresh made chips served with queso topped off this special lunch. Sergio's staff were kind, professional, and on time. With 3 locations, you can find one that is convenient and get some great food.“

“A little snug during a late Friday morning breakfast (9:30 AM) with at least three groups waited to be seated, but we were able to grab a small wall table for two in the 'bar' area. Food was super good, and reasonably priced. Are server was new (first week) but was very friendly and energetic, but lacking in answers for some particular question - but she quickly found the answers for us. Enjoyed the Boss Hog (I prefer my grits with more butter) and a neat bacon filled breakfast club. Good place to drop in if you work in the area or are passing through. No military discount.“

“My wife and I ate at Lellos 2 weeks ago we had pizza it was the best we ever had . We are origanally from white plains NY . This pizza was better than I ever had from NY. I spoke with the the pizza guy he was from Jersey or philly area not sure. His name is Chris he was the funniest , most charismatic gay pizza man I ever met no disrespect. “My husband surprised me with a breakfast trip here for our first Mother's Day; I'm 7 months pregnant :). Our server Quinn was so lovely and helped us navigate the menu. She was so kind and commented on how exciting it is to be a mother. Our food was delicious and we grabbed some to go boxes. It's also right near a beach access point for a nice walk afterwards. On a side note, the community here is also wonderful. Quin told us as we were finishing up that an elder couple overheard our conversation and paid for our meal as a gift. What a lovely place and community!“

“My daughter, niece, and I had a wonderful tea experience at The Teahouse! It was exactly what we were looking for - charming atmosphere, delicious tea with beautiful tea settings, and delicious tea sandwiches, scones, and desserts. There was also a very cute outdoor area where my daughter was delighted to find a play table with blocks and a playhouse with a very cute child’s tea set. We continued our tea party with pretend tea outside in the shade. :) Lots of books, cute clothes and jewelry, health foods, and of course teas available for purchase, as well. “The prices are so cheap honestly I can’t believe how cheap they are! Great option for people who are struggling and still want cultural vietnamese food. The waiters serving there were so interesting, something must have made them feel a certain way. The atmosphere was genuinely terrific, crazy cool, with tons of people doing different things, from okay to mindblowing. The food was great (although I was a tad bit disappointed to find black hairs sticking out of my pho, someone needed to give the waiter a brush or a hairwash). I even asked the lady waiter (her name is Tina we go way back to when erica would sleep at her house) what made her get this job and she said the manager and another man waiter. I am writing this review in memory of my dad, an honorable firefighter, United States Air Force veteran, and Vietnam veteran who later lost his battle with illnesses related to Agent Orange exposure.

One of my dad's greatest simple pleasures in life was visiting Mustard's Last Stand. On his modest income, it was one of the few places he treated himself to, and he absolutely loved it. The hot dogs are outstanding, but what made this place truly special was the kindness shown by the employees. They always treated my father with warmth, respect, and genuine care.

When my dad was in his final days in the hospital, the wonderful people at Mustard's Last Stand sent him a hot dog with messages of love written on the packaging. That hot dog became my dad's very last meal. It is a memory our family will never forget.

To many people, it may seem like just a restaurant. To our family, it became a place filled with kindness, dignity, and compassion during one of the most difficult times of our lives.

Even now, I cannot drive past without stopping to pick up a hot dog for my mom. Every visit reminds me of my dad and the happiness this place brought him.

Thank you for the outstanding food, the wonderful service, and most of all for the way you treated my father. Thank you for making his lunches something he always looked forward to and for showing such kindness to a proud veteran who served 2½ tours in Vietnam. Your compassion meant more to our family than words can express.
