“We went for lunch for my besties birthday. Food and service were amazing. A bonus is this spot is the BEST food ever. I havent had authentic Mexican food in Orlando since I lived in Southern California 13 years ago. The only drawback was the lighting. It was way too bright. We almost wanted to put on our Sunglasses but didn't want to be rude to such kind staff members. Please consider dimming your lighting. It is a great place though, nicely remodeled and great accents and pretty dinnerware. We have ordered food over 25 times and it is always excellent!“

“We went to the Fiests Grande restaurant today (2-1-25). Somebody told the manager that my husband was stealing a cup that was on another table. My husband saw the cup and was showing me how cool it was (we are seniors and if my husband liked a cup that he saw he would have asked our server if the restaurant sold them, we do not have to steal. Nor were we dressed poorly.) So, the manager came over to us, and demanded to look in my husband's bag. I felt so bad for my husband! The look on his face! He was mortified! She did not find a cup, because my husband did not take anything. She embarrassed my husband and me in front of everyone. I approched the manager and told her she was out of line and she told me she had to protect her customers...well, my husband and I were also her customers, she didn't protect us from public humiliation! She also told me " I am Mexican, I know how it feels. I don't know what she meant by that. We will never visit that restaurant again, and probably won't go to Mt. Dora again either! Needless to say, our beautiful day was ruined.“

We go passed the food truck frequently so when our neighbors raved about the food we decided to give it a try. I wasn't familiar with some of the menu items so after a little searching, we decided to order the birria quesadilla, the chicken mulita & the steak & shrimp mulita. All of the food was really good but my husband loved the quesadilla & I think the chicken mulita is going to be my go to when I'm craving Mexican food. From now on Quesa Loco will be the place I think of when we want Mexican food.“

As a major aficionado of Mexican food since my teens (I'm 60 now), I can tell you that Apopka is an absolute hotbed of some of the best I've ever had in my life, and that's no exaggeration. I've already had awesome offerings from the likes of El Potro, Taco Fiesta, and Taco Loco, and just today I added a new instant favorite to my list: Taco Don Pepe's. BEST burrito I've had in AGES! It is a "strange" atmosphere, it is not "nice", it is a mix of grocery, butcher shop, restaurant... the food is EXCELLENT, the service leaves a lot to be desired and that is what makes me think about it every time I return... Today's experience (October 30, 2024) in terms of service was TERRIBLE. But the food makes me come back despite the bad treatment“
