“We visited St. Augustine this past week 12/16/24 and were looking to visit local wineries. My brother-in-law knows the Carrera family and did us a huge blessing in introducing us to this wonderful wine shop. The atmosphere was much more than pleasant, the people so friendly and welcoming and helpful in finding lovely wines that both matched and stretched my pallet. The visit far exceeded anything we would have had at the trendy tours. WONDERFUL experience. “⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Forbidden Tonic – St. Augustine 100 out of 10. Absolute perfection. If you're anywhere near St. Augustine—especially during the holidays—you need to add Forbidden Tonic to your list. This place doesn't just serve food and drinks... it delivers a full-blown experience wrapped in Christmas magic and exceptional service. From the moment I arrived, the staff went above and beyond—they even corrected a reservation error I made without hesitation (and when I say it's the holiday season and it is extremely busy) , no “well actually”... just warm, friendly, “we've got you” energy. They were incredibly accommodating, and it immediately set the tone for a great night! But the real MVP of the evening? My waitress, Tatum. Tatum wasn't just good—she was phenomenal!! She guided me through the drink menu like a holiday beverage fairy godmother, recommending the most perfect options. She even brought out the cutest Christmas cup because she clearly understood the assignment: it's the holiday season, and I'm here for the aesthetic. When it came to dessert, she made a suggestion I never would've chosen on my own—and it ended up being spot-on perfection. Her attention to detail, her kindness, her ability to read exactly what a guest needs... she absolutely made the experience. “Our favorite spot to end the day when visiting St. Augustine! The drinks are great and fairly priced. When you go, make sure to ask to sit in Will’s area. Will has always been our server when there over the past couple of years and actually remembered us a year later after our 1st week there. Maybe we spent a little too many evenings here… Nah!“
