“Such a wonderful addition to Canal Street. The atmosphere is quaint, the food so good, service outstanding. Husband had hamburger and French fries, I had Eggplant Parmigiana with a very fresh side salad. I felt the prices very fair and the menu to suite many tastes. . It will become one of my favorite restaurants in New Smyrna.“

“The food my wife and I had was out of this world. We started with the spinach and artichoke dip(off the happy hour menu) and a Ceasar salad. Both were fresh and delicious. Vicki had the chicken marsala and after the first bite said it was the best she's ever had! I had the short ribs and portabella ravioli...melt in your mouth fantastic! Our waitress was very personable and knowledgeable about the menus...class act all around. We will be back!“

“My wife and I went to eat in downtown NSB and our usual favorite was closed, so we walked around and came across Bar Leona. I normally never even glance at bars since bar food is normally atrocious, but after seeing what was on people's plates, we went in and were not disappointed. This is no bar food; the cuisine is obviously prepared by a well-trained chef. I have traveled the world and this is some of the best Italian cuisine I have had. I watched the kitchen and could see the craftsmanship going into the food prep.

The Buratta appetizer is a delicious blended ricotta with a pool of honey and a little spice. My only criticism is it should have a few more slices of crostini to go with the liberal portion of ricotta, but it's fabulous. The meatball appetizer has a generous portion with a well-balanced sauce, not too sour or tangy as with some Italian restaurants. Same goes for the Spicy Vodka ziti, Pasta Bolognese, Seafood Pasta; delicious sauces, well-balanced flavors, and generous portions. I have had some of their specials like mushroom seafood ravioli that was superb; handmade dough and filling, no frozen ravioli dumped out of a bag with a sauce poured on top. The Pork Picatta was a good-sized super tender pork chop over pasta covered by a delicious lemon caper sauce.

I have always gotten superb service whether on a weekday or busy weekend. Their team work together so if one server sees someone needs something, they'll step in and get it taken care of.

They have an excellent selection of desserts that change, and of course a great drink selection.

Prices are not cheap but are in line with this quality of fare in the area. There are not a lot of tables, especially for larger groups, so better get there early to avoid a wait. This place is now in my top two restaurants when I want a good meal.“

“Spanish River Grill is a gem! The staff was excellent, and the food was outstanding. The Brussels sprouts were the best I’ve ever had—a perfect mix of salty and sweet! The Bimini ham and Manchego sandwich with honey truffle sauce, heart of palm salad, calamari, and razor clams were all delicious. The sangria was fresh and fruity with blueberries, strawberries, and apples, and my friend loves their Tempranillo wine. Fantastic food, drinks, and service. Can’t wait to go back! 🍷“

“We recently visited The Grill, and I was genuinely surprised by how amazing the food was! Having recently moved to the area, I’ve been on the hunt for a good Italian restaurant, especially since I personally wasn’t a huge fan of Garlic. I’m so glad we stumbled upon this place because everything we ordered was absolutely delicious!

The only thing that didn’t quite wow us was the tiramisu. It was decent, but nothing too special. I’d definitely love to try a different dessert next time!

“The service and atmosphere was A+. I always have a concern when Gumbo is on the menu. So I ordered some Gumbo. Being from New Orleans, La. my gumbos are highly critiqued. The gumbo came out and I tasted it. Now I'll be the first to say it was good, but it was not gumbo. It was more of a Shrimp Creole with Okra as you can see by the picture. The wording should be changed as such.

Now for my other order.... I ordered the Shrimp and Oyster plate with Dirty rice and Fries. Let's say the Oysters were over-cooked and 0 seasoning. The shrimp was good.

Like I stated the service was A+. Well come back, yes I will“
