Best place for Chinese in Tallahassee
First time here and I ordered sesame chicken with light sauce and they delivered. It was perfect. Food was served hot and fresh. I also ordered sweet tea but it had a unique taste. I’m just a plan regular southern sweet tea kinda person. My husband liked it.
This is the second time I've ordered from New Garden up in the Bannerman Publix Plaza and I am more than thoroughly impressed. First time was at pick up, but also near closing. Second time was via DoorDash for delivery, also within an hour and a half of closing. Both times were absolutely amazing! Extremely fast, extremely fresh, and extremely correct, and I feel very fair portions for the price. Not to mention my DoorDasher Victoria was top-tier! Love New Garden!

New Garden serves some of the best food in Tallahassee, made fresh to order by a friendly family-run team. Customers have enjoyed its tasty and plentiful dishes for over four years. The owners work hard to provide good food at a fair price, and many say no other place compares in value and quality. The restaurant offers a variety of vegetarian options in a wheelchair-accessible space. Popular dishes include their delicious shrimp fried rice and garlic shrimp entree, featuring massive, deveined shrimp. The menu also includes options like Moo Shu Chicken & Beef, which many other Chinese restaurants do not offer. Food is usually ready quickly and consistently tasty, with no reported order mistakes. Although there is some seating available, most customers order takeout, often picking up food on their way home from Tallahassee. Customers appreciate the great customer service, reasonable prices, and the wide variety of dishes, especially the Lo mein and fried rice.
