The By the River location had average sandwiches and terrible service, but the Restaurant and Cafe had top-notch food and attentive service from a server named Tony. The Restaurant provides great tasting entrees like duck and lamb, along with balanced and tasty cocktails. The music adds to the overall ambiance. The Cafe offers a veggie bar and has elevator access to the 2nd floor for wheelchair accessibility.
With a new chef, Maestro's Restaurant has improved its food selection, offering themed dishes to match the theater show. The antipasto table is wonderful, but the soup is often barely warm. The wait staff is courteous, but there is a lack of plate removal service. Parking can be a challenge, especially in bad weather, but there is an elevator for wheelchair accessibility. A great place to enjoy dinner before a show at the Straz.
