“Flash back to 1988. This is your nostalgic pizza joint, just by a different name. This place is exactly the chain pizza place that used to be awesome in 1988. A place to gather with family and friends around a fresh salad followed by a trademark pan pizza.

Go for the Supreme Pizza (House Special on this menu) or Meat Lovers for that perfect piece of nostalgia. Start with a Greek Salad. The 80s music playing in the background, the stained glass lamps, and the overall vibe is perfect for memory lane. Only missing the Ms Packman or Donkey Kong arcade game near the entrance and a slight change to the interior colors to cause a memory lane melt down.

As for the salad, spot on... go with the Greek Salad. Potato salad optional. I prefer to skip the potato salad. The Mini Greek is perfect sized for one or two.

As for the pizza. Pizza is in the name of this place for a reason. If you loved the chain I am referencing in the late 70s and 80s and early 90s... you are in for a treat! And if you never had it back then, you can have it here now. And if you miss it (as it is not the same as it used to be), this place will win your heart.

Nice family place with great servers as well. Eeyroe gives this a 5 out of 5 for the memories. I'm going for a 4 out of 5 for the Greek Salad and Pizza complimented by the 80s vibes.

“Was in the area i live in Sarasota but i always went to different cuban pizza places this place happened to be close to me and the reviews were beautiful so i came to El Recreo , i was pleased when I pulled up to be surrounded by beautiful green trees in this concrete jungle. My husband and i ordered, one chorizo pizza, a pepperoni pizza, a spaghetti a mango smoothie. I am always unimpressed by Cuban food in this area but…. Everything was perfect wow I will definitely be back“

“They are open until 2 AM which is great! The crust is not pre-made or prefrontal, he spins it right in front of you. We had the Orr, pepperoni with pesto and honey Sriracha drizzle. The pesto was not overwhelming and the drizzle was the perfect amount of spicy and sweet. The Italian working there never stopped and worked quickly to fill orders. I noticed they had a Cauliflower crust option! Prices are great! Make sure you give them a try!“

“I always favor simple pizza sauce over heavily seasoned sauce. Westchase scores big for me there. I think they come closer to NY pizza than any other in the Westchase/Waterchase area. For close to home great pizza using fresh ingredients, this is my go-to.“

Tisha Penzato the Sales and Account Manager set me all up through phone calls, emails and texts. She made it so easy to book the event and she was very thorough throughout the process.
The guys in the Food truck showed up on time and served my halloween party with no issues. I picked mexican themed food and it was a hit at the party! The food was delicious, hot, and served quickly!
