“First time Visiting Kanji and won't be my last! The space is absolutely beautiful and comfortable! Everywhere I looked, I saw something new. The service was AMAZING! We were seated and greeted with these washcloths. Our server was SOOO sweet and really was helpful. One of my favorite foods are Buns and these pork buns were GREAT! The pork has such a nice flavor! Spring rolls were delicious and the side dishes were YUM! those gyozas were juicy and flavorful!!!! The ramen was pretty good as well- one of my favvvv things is udon and when I found out they had that add in, I was SHOOK!!! The only thing is, the broth wasn't my favorite! It was ok but I wish there was more depth in flavor. I've had many ramens in the past and this one is in middle ground, so it's ok, but not the best I've had. Dessert was BUSSIN!!!! Very yummy! I love that they offer those little meal bundles because I was able to get a little of everything for a great price! All in all, this is a great spot for lunch and/or dinner and I would def recommend! I'm excited to come back and try the skewers and sushi!“

“My new favorite restaurant! After living in Japan for four years I can vouch for the authenticity of the food. It's affordable and delicious!!!Vegetarian options: No need for meat. There was more than enough veggies to fill you up and you can even switch out the soup bases. The curry base with the veggies was delicious!“

“Who knew this little gem existed in that strip mall off of Bloomingdale Avenue. The Godzilla Roll was out of this world amazing. I have never had a stuffed crab, but the Happy Krab was delicious. We also devoured the Out of control Roll and the Hawaiian Roll. Everything was exceptional and will most definitely be back.“

“Best ramen shop in town, no competition. We usually get the Tonkotsu Shoyu Ramen, Pork Chasu Rice Bowl, Pork Gyoza, and Takoyaki. Wonderful options, service is the best, owners and staff are great to talk to. Atmosphere is excellent, especially during non-rush hours when you can sit back and chill out, enjoy some Lo-Fi on the right side of the restaurant or anime on the left.“

“Very good option for all-you-can eat and traditional sit-down. Truly great service from the whole staff. Sushi is good on the all-you-can-eat eat menu but a little limited as you would expect. Entrees are exceptional though. Noodle dishes were banging. It's nice to finally have a place like this closeby. No need to go to Tampa anymore. PS. Very clean and well maintained bathtooms. LOLVegetarian options: They should certainly adapt for vegetarian. Very kind and attentive staff.Parking: Big commercial lot. Publix basically next door.Kid-friendliness: Overall casual and relaxed vibe. Kids welcome.Wheelchair accessibility: Wheel chair accessible. Bathrooms are good size and private.“

“Probably the best ramen shop in Tampa. Heads-up there's no shichimi powder in the store. The home-made chili sauce is a must-try. Perfect spot for a Saturday or Sunday hangover-busting brunch. Nice place for a dinner date without denting your wallet.“

“Came here and loved it! My original usual ramen spot had raised their prices but lowered the quantity AND quality of their food, not to mention that some of the staff wasn't friendly nor attentive. SOOOO not the case at Kyoto. Staff were so attentive, kind, and friendly. The food was delicious. The atmosphere was so calm and inviting. An overall awesome experience. This is my new favorite/usual restaurant. So happy I found this place!“

“This was surprisingly good! They serve up appetizers, tea, and ramen out of a kiosk in the food court at Westfield Brandon Mall. They have quite an array of different ramen bowls such as tonkotsu, shoyu, miso, vegetable, shrimp, ad chicken ramen. They also have their signature Kawawa ramen that has a kimchi broth. That's what I selected for lunch today. It's spicy and topped with pork belly chashu. They can make it spicier upon request. My bowl was the perfect spice level for me. The noodles are thin and cooked perfectly (not too soft). The seasoned soft boiled egg was executed well. There are many brick & mortar restaurants that still use unseasoned hard boiled eggs. This egg puts them to shame. The pork belly and everything you'd expect in a ramen was there. They serve it in a covered sturdy bowl that is perfect for takeout. They serve it hot. I think the only criticism I have is that they need bigger spoons for the broth. Unless you don't mind drinking from the bowl which is the traditional way to do it.If you're not into ramen, then they have other options. I haven't tried any of the appetizers yet. However, I'm very interested in trying the takoyaki and the salt n' pepper popcorn chicken. They both look delicious. They also serve boba tea drinks. So far I've had the Pineapple Passion Fruit and the Supreme Mix Fruit teas. Both are refreshing and come with fresh fruit. The mixed fruit one actually had chunks of watermelon and slices of orange, lime, apples, and strawberries. I was blown away by the fact that they automatically give you a long plastic fork so that you can pull out the fruit from the cup. What a great idea! I've never seen that before. They have many other drink options and many toppings. The service was great! I can see myself getting takeout from this place in the future. It was really good for not being a full service restaurant. I'm looking forward to trying the tonkotsu ramen next time as well as the appetizers I mentioned earlier. It's so good to finally have a ramen/boba option at the mall.“

“As a regular of Kung Fu Tea. I can happily say that this place can easily rival other boba tea places. My favourite drink being the Thai Milk Tea, I can say that service is indeed speedy and consistent. On the rare occasions that I do buy food also, I can say that the chicken wings are a real piece of work, I'd recommend them to anyone that visits.Overall, I would recommend this place to anyone that wants some boba tea or if you're around the area.9.8/10-Akavir“

“I encountered efficient service and authentic Japanese cuisine at this restaurant run by a Japanese family. The omusubi with plum and seaweed salad was delightful—I truly savored it. Although the lady who took my order initially seemed rude, it may be due to her hearing problems. However, her husband kindly assisted me with my order. I'm already looking forward to returning to try either the kitsune udon or karaage curry.“

“I came to this restaurant to try the ramen. I’ve been to many other ramen locations in the area. The ramen was very delicious and the portioning was fair. The avocado seaweed salad was very different but delicious. The pricing was on the higher end. The special ramen bowls were priced comparable to other restaurants, but the build your own ramen bowl gets expensive. A marinated egg is $1.50 which wouldn’t be a bad price if it wasn’t for the fact that you only get 1/2 an egg. If you want two whole eggs, you’re paying $6.Although though the pricing for the build your own bowls starts at $8, you going to pay for everything else in the bowl including vegetables. It’s one thing to pay for meats or expensive alternatives, but having to pay $1.50 to add onions is ridiculous. The service must be a hit or miss. We got sat at a booth but received the bartender as a server, who was not very attentive. When a restaurant’s menu has a spice meter to choose from, water/ drinks are important for a server to check on periodically. Although my server was not very attentive, the other server checking her own tables looked to be much more attentive.Overall, I believe there are far better options for Ramen in the Temple Terrace or New Tampa area. I did not try the seafood boil, so I have no opinion on that focus of the restaurant.“
