“Came in for a few drinks on a Wednesday night with a group of friends from Tampa and had a lot more fun than expected. First and foremost the big guy at the door checking ids was the funniest mf I ran into all night. I almost wanted to bring my drinks outside and hang out with him. I believe we had two different bartenders Rick and Tony. Both of them were very attentive and took the time to make sure all of our drinks came out to our liking. So, he never checked to see if our food was OK or to refill water. As for the food, it was pretty good overall. We started with very nice coconut soup (basically a Thai tom kha), if slightly too sweet. The pork dumplings were very good. The ginger chicken entrée had nice flavor, but the chicken pieces were a little tough. The server highly recommended the snapper risotto, which seemed an odd choice for an Asian restaurant. Nevertheless, the snapper was a generous piece and nicely cooked. The sauce on it was delicious. The risotto, however, was on the gummy side when it should have had a silky texture. I would go to Green Pagoda again and try the whole fish and some sushi.“
