“My partner and I have been here multiple times and have brought friends here as well. We always have fantastic food. The pho, ramen, sushi, you literally can't go wrong. I wanted to write this review about our server last night. My friend and I had dinner. Our server was working the whole front half of the restaurant by himself. Bussing tables, serving tables, checking out to go orders, making sushi, serving drinks, answering the phone. He was literally doing most of this stuff by himself. He was exceptionally kind and even though we had to wait a little (we didn't mind) it was great service. Unfortunately some people walked out because they felt it wasn't fast enough but at no point did I feel it was unreasonable. You could also see he genuinely felt horrible these people left. Our patience was rewarded with great service and great food. Always remember to have a little patience with people. You never know the full story. You may only see a small glimpse of the work that is being done.“
“I have been searching for an awesome sushi restaurant for the past 3 months. From West Tampa to Holiday to St Pete and several sushi restaurants in between. I would find a new place and spend the next three days trying different rolls. Maybe I was just lucky but every place I went to was good. There wasn't one that stood out over the others or one that was bad enough to single it out. I just happened to be in Palm Harbor last night and saw a sushi bar in a strip center. I ordered two rolls online, to go. Traffic was horrible so I decided to pull back into the parking lot and eat my sushi.IT TOOK ME OVER 90 DAYS AND PROBABLY OVER 100 ROLLS TO FIND A SUSHI BAR THAT EASILY STOOD OUT OVER THE OTHERS. MIKE'S SUSHI IS HANDS DOWN THE BEST SUSHI I'VE EATEN IN FLORIDA.The flavors were on point, fresh and absolutely delicious.The presentation was pure artwork.The price for the signature rolls is just a little higher than the average sushi bar but I was pleasantly surprised to see that the portion served is close to twice the size of all the other competitors.If you like sushi then Mike's Sushi Bar is the place to go. It is a definite 5 star sushi bar and you won't be disappointed. I'm looking forward to going back again tonight.“

That and an 18% gratuity added to your bill. Wife and I had 5 drinks and with gratuity the bill was $75. HOWEVER, with the Groupon coupon, it cost us $103 for the evening. Not a bad cost for an evening out. So the advice is use Groupon for tickets and be careful ordering drinks.“

“Great little sushi place with a wonderfully friendly staff to get lunch or dinner at if you're visiting Downtown NPR! Every time I visit here the experience is always delightful, when you walk in you’re greeted by staff members with sincere warmth. The servers, chefs, and all of the staff are very knowledgeable, professional, and have such a positive energy that it’s infectious. If you’re new to Asian cuisine, no question is the wrong question and they are happy to help with anything you need, because I’ve brought friends here, and even when I came my first time in June 2023, it was a bit overwhelming because of how huge the menu is! It’s definitely worth it though, and the staff is super attentive without being too intrusive, it’s the perfect balance! It’s rare that the food, service, and decor all combine to such an excellence the way Kazu’s does. Everything we ate was flavorful and delicious. It was very very delightful! It’s always very good. I personally love sitting and eating at the sushi bar because it gives you that more authentic experience watching the chefs make the meals for you, and then they hand them to you right there. The rolls are great, they have specials everyday if we want to go a more affordable route on rolls, but if you’re looking for a more specific type of roll, I highly recommend the ‘Rainbow Roll’ and the ‘Kazu’s House Roll’. The ‘Tempura Japanese Bagel Roll’ is very delicious as well, if you’re not looking for rolls, the ‘Whitefish Teriyaki’ is to die for, actually it’s to LIVE for, comes with white rice, miso soup, and it also had fried vegetables, I think it was stir fry, either way it was scrumptious! Might I emphasize how good the miso soup is, as well as the edamame, oh and the sake! The Sour Apple Sake is a must every time for me, I need to try the plum they have, they also have strawberry but you have to order it by the bottle. They have so much variety when it comes to beverages, whether they are alcoholic or not! This place has it all, definitely a lunch/dinner highlight, highly highly recommend. The food was superb and the portion sizes were beyond satisfying. Gave a 4 star because the staff, however- the host and whoever makes the reservations over the phone, was rude and dismissive. We waited over an hour after our reservation time to even be seated at a table, and it was so late then that we were all starving. We will be back, the chef and the flavor of the food won us over but definitely plan on making a reservation and arriving an hour or 2 earlier than when you'd actually like to eat. Kind of put a damper on our 13 yr olds birthday having to wait until 9 pm to eat and our reserved time was 7 but it all worked out in the end I guess..“

“Yesterday, we came to this restaurant to celebrate my brother's birthday. We had a table reserved. However, we ended up waiting for quite a while, but what happened next really changed our impression. The food was generally tasty, but my tuna dish had slightly undercooked rice. I'm writing this not to complain, but so that you can rectify this situation in the future. Our waiter, Danny, was very attentive and polite; you could tell he cared, and it made a very positive impression. So, the service was just excellent. Then the manager came over and offered us a 30% discount, which was very pleasant and surprising because we didn't really need it. When you come hungry, of course, you get a little upset, but that's normal. They also gave us a very tasty dessert to take away, which was also nice. Overall, the atmosphere, the people, everything was great, so we will definitely be coming back here“
