“We had a wonderful experience at Big Chill. I took my granddaughter to get braids at Myamis henna for her big dance recital and we were not disappointed. “Today was our first visit to Shades Bar & Grill. We were there for lunch & the food & service (our server was Sarah) could not have been better. We ordered the chicken & sausage gumbo, Philly cheesesteak & the chicken jalapeño ranch wrap. Our sides were onion rings & sweet potato fries, however we had a hard time making a selection because of the many great food options to choose from. All the food was delicious & Sarah was a top notch server who was friendly, prompt & efficient. Definitely recommend & will visit Shades again when back in the area.“

“I made a reservation 3–4 days in advance because this breakfast was meant to be a birthday surprise for my husband.

When I booked the table, I specifically spoke with the staff and explained that I would like them to bring out a small piece of cake with a candle at the end of our meal. I even told them that if they didn't have cake, they could simply put a candle in a dessert or any item and add the cost to my bill. I was more than happy to pay for it.

Unfortunately, none of this was done. It was very disappointing and honestly spoiled my mood because I wasn't able to surprise my husband on his birthday the way I had planned. Since I arranged everything several days in advance, I expected this simple request would be taken into consideration.

That being said, I do want to mention that the food was very delicious, and the prices were very reasonable. The quality of the food was excellent. I just wish the staff had followed through on the birthday request, as it would have made the experience truly special.“
