“This fruit cocktail is a total delight!
The combination of fruits is perfect, all very fresh as if they were freshly cut,
and the touch of papaya juice makes it super refreshing without being cloying. It shows that they do not add other sugars.
What I loved most is that it always arrives super well presented. You can see the love and dedication they put into it, because the fruits are cut just to the ideal size, ready to enjoy.
If you are looking for something delicious, natural and with that tropical touch that will brighten your day, and that will transport you back to Colombia...this salpicón is wonderful! I will definitely continue purchasing it and recommend it without hesitation.

And we roast our own coffee (picky) and forgot to bring some on our trip - this is roasted very well, good balance of dark enough and still can get the fruit notes.

“This place is a local gem; one of the little holes in the wall in Miami Beach that the locals love & support, owned by the friendliest couple you’ll ever meet, and serving outstanding & delicious home-cooked meals. Can’t recommend it enough.

Their lunch specials are solid, portion sizes are solid, pricing is average for Miami, but the quality overall is outstanding and I’m happy to support this small business all day, any day, for breakfast or lunch since they close relatively early. Go grab an empanada & coffee and you’ll find out real quick what you’ve been missing out on.

Worth noting: they make the *best* Argentine empanadas I’ve eaten in Miami. Hands down, no question imho (picaña & bondiola empanadas are my favorites).“

“Perfect mix of Polynesia and Pirate vibes. The decor is inviting and relaxing, the perfect atmosphere for chilling with friends or meeting new ones. Even though it's the perfect setup for a bar, I think it's much better suited for a kava establishment.
Marty was my bartender (I'm not sure what you call someone who's serving non-alcoholic drinks). He was able to explain the process of making kava , and the difference between kava and kratom, and gave me great recommendations to try. I had the La Hua, a mix of guava and juices with the kratom. Not too sweet and really brought out the tropical vibes.
Many of the patrons brought their own games to play and Twisted Roots also had quite a selection. They have game nights, karaoke, live music all available to see on their calendar.
I'll definitely be back. There's so many things to try. And it would be interesting to continue to learn more about all the positive benefits of this Polynesian treat. Hope to see you there“

I see people commenting on how good the pastries were. I am not a sweet person ordinarily, I like savory things. I ordered the chicken empanadas: MISTAKE. Now, I love empanadas. I have had them from Colombia, Argentina, Mexico and Ecuador. Sometimes they are spicy and sometimes a bit sweet (with onions and raisins) I like them all. This empanada was really bad. I am not joking. I cannot remember having a bad empanada. What as wrong: the dough was SO THICK. If you ever eat a real empanada, the dough is kind of thin and the filling full. This was all dough and so so thick that it was gummy and just all dough. The filling was meager and dry. Instead of juicy it was dried out chicken with no flavoring or sauce, just a slight taste of curry. The entire empanada was left on the plate after one bite. I love this adorable neighborhood place and I will be back. I am really not an injustice collector. I really wanted to be able to say five stars, instead of four or four and a half. As I said the atmosphere, service and coffee were top rate, but whoever made those empanadas should really find out how to make them. I will trust the other people who posted reviews and order one of the pastries next time. Sorry, but I really loved the time I spent here, but disappointed that the whole empanada was left on the plate. I am sure the pastries are a lot better.“
