“First time at Asahi Chinese & Japanese Restaurant. Ordered ahead for pickup. Order was ready real quick. The staff was friendly and cashed me out fast. We got the shrimp lomain and the bourbon chicken dinner specials with wonton soup and egg rolls. Everything was packed good and their was no spillage. The food itself was fair. Everything was bland and lacked flavor. On the good side, nothing was oily and portion size was reasonable for the price. Maybe next time we will have to ask them to spice things up a bit. :)“

“Best lunch special I've had in a while! My regular Chinese Spot is closed on Tuesdays so I called King Chef instead. It was $15 for the meal, delivery and a little over 20% tip. Delivery didn't take long at all. I got the honey garlic chicken with the sauce on the side, so the chicken was nice and crunchy, pork fried rice was delicious, it was all still piping hot and somehow the Pepsi was still ice cold. Honorable mentions: The portion was huge and the girl on the phone was extremely helpful and patient. Honestly this is exactly what I needed. “Hong Kong Tokyo is surprisingly one of the best Chinese restaurants I've been to. I'm not sure if people in South Florida just don't know what good Chinese food is, but coming from the Washington, D.C. area where there is great Chinese, this is the best I've found here yet—it reminds me of home. I’m surprised it only has 4 stars.

It's a classic hole-in-the-wall dive for take-out only, with no interior seating and nothing fancy to look at inside. But the food delivers: standout dishes like the House Triple Delight and Shrimp Lo Mein are excellent. Nothing I've ordered has disappointed. The price is great to feed your family and the food is ready in about 15-20min.

“This is my favorite Chinese food place in south Florida. My husband doesn’t like it, so we keep trying different places, and for me nothing compares to the food at South China. They are the only place that does not put scallions in their soup! I love The green leafy stuff in the soup, not sure if it’s bok choi or what, but it reminds me of the soup I used to get At Chinese restaurants in NY. Their crab Rangoon's, egg rolls and pork egg foo young are better than any other place I try. Every time I order take out, the food is consistent. I recently ate in the restaurant with my dad, and yes it’s not fancy, it’s outdated, maybe a little musty, but the service was good, it was clean, the price was reasonable, the portions were large and the food tasted just how I like It.“

“I was looking for a Chinese restaurant near my house that was good and would deliver to my address. I have been on a mission to find 1 to no avail, until yesterday. I read a lot of google reviews and finally settled on this restaurant.
If u r looking for a fancy restaurant to take ur family out to for dinner that feels like they spent a million dollars renovating… then this is NOT ur restaurant, but if u r looking for great food at a reasonable price that delivers within a 3 mile radius… then look no further. It’s a small family owned restaurant in an old plaza on nob hill. They charge a $2 delivery fee, which goes towards the driver… when was the last time u saw such a small delivery fee AND it actually went to the driver?!?!? Early 2000s? Good for u Ming Wah.
The portions were enormous. They really packed the food as tight as they could get it into the containers. We picked up food for a party of 4 people for a total of $93. We way over ordered, but we wanted to try all of our favorite dishes. When we were done, we had enough food left over for at least 2-3 more meals each. They offer a family pack for $46. It’s a buyer beware option that actually works out in ur favor so make sure u actually take the time to read over what it’s offering.

The only things we finished were the egg rolls and the crab rangoon. These 2 things were the only items we were not impressed with…. The crab rangoon was chewy and the egg roll shells were a little on the hard side, but these 2 minor complaints were overlooked by my picky family. My dad said it was the best/sweetest eggplant he’s had in a really long time. My sister, who hates everything everywhere was surprisingly happy. So the entire family said they would be back.
So what did we learn?… the food is reasonably priced, tastes great, delivers within 3 miles with a $2 delivery fee, and it looks rundown. I even took the time to call them back and tell them we were very happy with all of our meals and that they now had a new repeat customer. Take the time and try the food u won’t be disappointed with the recipes, price or portions.“

It’s nothing fancy, nothing gourmet but the food is ok and their portions are generous.

We go at least 1 or 2 x per month as an alternative to our day to day home menu and have never had a bad experience.“

Please excuse the lady at the counter; she's working on her customer service skills because they are not the best. However, it's just a cultural thing she's learning that you can't be so direct and blunt with everyone.“

The flavor was delicious. The bourbon chicken had such a savory taste, the sweet and sour chicken was great, crab Rangoon was amazing, egg rolls hit the spot and the wonton soup actually had lots of wontons in it!
