SOL Mexican Restaurante is a hidden gem, widely considered the best Mexican food around. The food is authentic, homemade, and delicious, with everything tasting freshly made from scratch. Portions are good and fair. Popular dishes include fantastic steak tacos on corn tortillas, delicious chile rellenos, carnitas, asada, and delicious flour tortillas. The chips and queso are also great. The meat is never weird or fatty.
The restaurant offers a vibrant and fun atmosphere where you can eat inside or outside. Some prefer the outside area. The place is big and clean, though it does not have A/C. Service is fast, friendly, and great, with super sweet and accommodating staff. The owner provides the best customer service.
It is a beloved spot where many have eaten for years, with some traveling far to return. It is the best spot in Wimauma, hands down.
