“An impromptu date night after work had us exploring the menu this Wednesday evening. We were seated in what looks like a sunroom. They had 50% off of select wines,beers and cocktails. We chose a bottle of Bordeaux. The grilled octopus was amazing and cooked just right as was our dinner of steak and fries with a small salad. Really enjoyed the ambiance and food however service was slow. We saw a server or two come in to help but not sure what caused the delay i.e. the kitchen or too big an assigned area. It definitely got busy after we arrived and that was around 5pm or so. Don’t come starving in case you have a wait and enjoy your meal and visit!“
“I am not from Florida. I cane to Winter Park because my son is in the Advent Health Winter Park Hospital. I was here for 2 months. My son recommended this place for its food. Boy, was he ever right. I have enjoyed everything I've order so far. Unfortunately, my son is still in the hospital with pancreatitis, but this visit I am stopping there as I especially miss that Italian sausage sandwich. “I love this place! I come to this part of Orlando occasionally to get work done on saxophones (by the incomparable Gary Underwood, whose shop is just down Aloma a bit). Always, after I leave the music shop, I pop over to Friendly Confines to relax with a drink or two and a bite to eat. I've only had the wings and a few appetizers, because it's usually at a time between meals when I am there, but the quality of the food, fast and friendly service, and prices have always been great. The casual and relaxed vibe here is refreshing and welcomed, the patrons I've met there are all friendly and chill, and Ashley behind the bar is Amazing! I will always come to Friendly Confines on my visits here!“

“The menu is a good southern cooking-type menu with a lot of options for burgers as well. My wife and I both had burgers and although mine was definitely overcooked the flavor was great.
