Bubble Cafe Reviews
The chicken curry is always good and I love their takeout cup style. The mango smoothie with mango poppers is super delicious.
Really great boba tea/tea place in general. The people there speak both English and Chinese if you need service in either language. I haven't tried much, but I love the pomegrante black tea with lychee jelly and my sister likes the strawberry black tea with mango popping boba - those things are so much better than normal boba (imho). Bubble Cafe offers delicious poke bowls at reasonable prices, with the spicy crab being highly recommended. The service is quick and friendly, and the boba is praised, featuring many great flavors like thai tea, taro, and jasmine. This cozy cafe has a pleasant aesthetic and ambiance, making it a good place to meet someone for bubble tea or to sit and get work done. There are lots of spaces to sit, and even when it’s busy, the music is not too loud, allowing customers to hear themselves think. The little nook in the back corner is perfect for chatting, while the seats along the window are ideal for working or studying. Although the ordering system experienced a temporary outage, the accommodating staff handled it well. The food, including the spicy chicken nuggets, tofu bites, fries, and shrimp udon, is widely acclaimed for its exceptional quality and generous portions. Vegetarian options are available, and the poke bowls are a popular choice, often providing two meals in one. Bubble Cafe is considered one of the most underrated take-out spots in Athens, perfect for days when cooking feels like too much. While parking can be a bit challenging, this locally owned cafe remains a favorite for many in downtown Athens, especially compared to chain cafes that have opened nearby.
