Couple small service hiccups when we first sat down but the rest of the night was smooth. The scuppernong sour cocktail is right up my alley and it was delicious. Good old fashioned too. Looked like a good wine list and though it's not a great place for beer, they had ok options in bottles/cans for a very reasonable price. The food was great. I had not been here in probably a dozen years and recalled a fantastic meal from when it first opened. I am happy to see it has retained its unique charm and quality when we were taken there again by friends. First there are the imaginative cocktails. Try the botanist and substitute vodka for the gin if you like. I had the grilled artichoke and chicken schnitzel. I loved the ambiance and vibes of this place — it was something out of a movie with a very quiet outside area, but as soon as you pass the 90s-esque grunge windows, you enter into a wonderfully large space.
