On a mission to have breakfast today, without waiting in a long line, I stumbled on a jewel in the former location of soul food restaurants, Deacon Burton’s/Son’s Place in Inman Park. The Breakfast Burrito, Salmon on Toast, champagne, etc., were delicious and Complimentary!! Unbeknown to us, restaurant was having a “private intro” to the community and a staff training event. Melanie (Owner/Host) welcomed us in like we were family. Her husband Micheal was so excited to...read full review

Based on the reviews, The Daily Cafe - West Midtown is a local spot with higher quality food that comes with a little price increase. The menu features a wide variety of food including toasts, breakfast bowls, yogurt bowls, wraps, pitas, tea, and smoothie. Specific meals mentioned include the Loaded Avocado Bowl, Breakfast Burrito, Soft Scrambled Toast, avocado toast, and avocado bowl. The foods are generally very lightly seasoned; for example, the eggs in the burrito did not have salt, but the tortilla and cheese are both salty. The sourdough is chewy, moist, and slightly sour. The coffee is good, with options like a caramel iced latte and a Miso syrup. The dining area is colorful, bright, and spacious, with both small tables and communal tables. The ambiance is amazing, with plenty of natural light, and the music is soft and low so conversations can be heard. The service is awesome and thoughtful, such as a staff member helping an elderly customer carry a tray. The place has a steady crowd with a low hum of conversations. It is a weekly go-to, and the Pilates studio next door makes for a perfect workout and coffee shop combination.
