About The Food Shoppe

The Food Shoppe is a hidden gem serving authentic Creole Cuisine with dishes made with love. The staff is respectful and kind, creating a welcoming experience, although some customers noted a need for more engagement from the counter staff. The portions are huge, and the Gumbo and Yaya creole pasta are bursting with flavor, offering a taste of home-cooked goodness. While the shrimp and grits were delicious, some felt the cream sauce was too much. The Carrot Cake is moist and delicious, while the King Cake is a must-try. The bacon and sausage croissant is also stuffed full, though some reviews suggest it may be store-bought. Head Chef Chuck is talented, and the establishment has great potential for growth. The atmosphere could use an update, as there are only two tables, making it feel cramped. For a delightful dining experience supporting a family-owned business, The Food Shoppe is a must-visit, especially if guests are lucky enough to find their preferred dishes available.

I stopped by The Food Shoppe to try the Voodoo BBQ Chicken and Mac, and it was AMAZING!! The chicken was perfectly seasoned and the mac and cheese was rich, creamy, and full of flavor. You can definitely tell everything is made with care. The service was just as great—friendly, welcoming, and attentive from start to finish. If you're looking for authentic New Orleans-style Creole food, this is the place to go. I'll definitely be back for more.

The food here was pretty good! We got the jambalaya omelette with potatoes and a side of creole sauce. A bit salty but tasty.
Whatever they put on their floor caused my eyes to burn for almost an hour even after I left. I think they use bleach to clean because it was such a strong chemical smell.
The service was a bit…ghetto honestly. One of the workers was sleeping on one of the couches, the cashier yelled “IM GETTING OFF AT 2 REGARDLESS”, the cashier...read full review
