XO Bar

XO bar specializes in Cognac. Not just a few, not quite a few, but a whole wall of different bottles of cognac. If you're looking for a $10 drink or a $1,000 drink - they have it. This bar is in the lobby of the InterContinental Hotel and is perfectly situated to people-watch, either outside on Peachtree or inside in the lobby. Ladies, do yourself a favor and try Neptune's Nectar - Ketel One, Ginger ale, raspberries and blackberries. Tres yum!! Somewhat pricey bar but drinks were fantastic and atmosphere was casual-swank, just lovely. The Manhattans were excellent, too. Great place to people watch although annoying when hotel conferences let out and there is a noisy swarm of people. But all together a great place and I'll definitely be back for drinks the next time I'm in Hotlanta.

I met a group of friends here to check out the new happy hour on Thurs & Fri nights at the XO Bar at the Intercontinental Hotel. Got there around 6 and the place was filled with a professional crowd from the nearby office towers. There was a "build your own mojito" station with fresh rasberries, pineapple, watermelon, strawberries & mint. A guy near the entrance was playing a steel drum, and there was an island vibe going on in what I usually consider a pretty quiet hotel bar....read full review
