“Having lived in San Antonio for a formative number of adult years, I truly believe I can spot an authentic “hole in the wall” pretty well. This taqueria is out of a gas station- but honestly, that’s where the best ones are sometimes! (I’m looking at you, NFA Burger, and you, Baba’s Gyro & Kabob).
The tacos here are as legit and authentic as they can get without being across the border- and if you love a true Mexican taco, they will serve it up perfectly with hot sauce, tomatillo, and of course plenty of cilantro y onions!! Honestly I can’t wait to go back again.
My only qualm isn’t with the store itself- it’s just the damage inflation has done. The tacos are currently (May 2026) around $4 per taco, which is CRAZY compared to my $1.25 I’d get in 2021- but again, that’s the economy, not the store. They’re absolutely worth that price; and super filling!
Also, to the (I presume owner) if you read this, I’m the gringa you asked the other day about how I found the shop- it was via Google, and I hope this review helps another lost soul find their taco craving satiated!“

“So I've been going to Fish Chick for about a month now, and its never been short of excellent. Customer service through the roof, always clean, and welcoming all around. Not only are you getting the best food in town, but you also feel like family walking in the door. Everything made to order, so its a good idea to call ahead. I typically just wait because its worth the wait. I highly recommend it. PS, my sons love the food here as well, and they are very picky eaters.“

“The best experience with amazing food and service!
From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere is fantastic, but what really makes this place special are the wings—juicy, crispy, and honestly the best I’ve ever had.
The staff is super friendly and attentive, you can tell they love what they do and go out of their way to make sure you have a great experience. The food comes out fast, hot, and perfectly prepared.
Everything on the menu is delicious. Whether it’s tacos, wings, or anything else you order, you won’t be disappointed. This place has definitely become one of my favorites.
100% recommended. I’ll be coming back again and again!“

“The food is good I just wish they had a loyalty rewards program for customers who supports their business a lot just as a thank you for your loyal customers for supporting the establishment quite often. Other than that, the food is very tasty.“

“Finally tried the tacos and they were really good. I tried the special which is 2 tacos with 2 tortillas but smaller for a cheaper price. I had chicken and steak and they were really good I definitely will be back to try more. Also comes with lime and red or green sauce I got red and it made it even better then it already is. They really need way more customers for how good the tacos was.“

“This is a favorite for me and my family. Their quesadillas are to die for. Be sure to get them with all the peppers and onions. I normally call ahead and get them to go and hit up the salsa bar while I’m waiting for them to complete my order. While the beef and chicken quesadillas are delicious, venture a little bit and get the lengua - it’s really good! Don’t miss the roasted jalapeños on the top shelf of the salsa bar. When I first started going here a several years ago, I never saw another person that looked like me and I took that as a great sign. The food is authentic. The service is friendly. If you want to dine in, I can see where at times it might be a little tight, but normally when I go there, there are place there are places to sit. This place is a favorite of mine.“

“My family and I had lunch today at Taco Mac. I'm aways impressed with the consistency at this restaurant - the staff, the environment, the cleanliness and most importantly the food. We've never had a bad meal here. What made today extra special was our server Cole. He was so polite and respectful, he took time to get to know us and really made us feel welcome. If you come to this location, ask for Cole!!! You'll get top notch service!“

“I had the shrimp quesadilla and my husband had the carne asada burrito. Both were delicious and came with generous servings of refried beans and rice. The shrimp in the quesadilla were perfectly cooked. The burrito was huge and the steak was excellent.“
“If you're riding the Silver Comet Trail, stop at Linear Park Cafe! The staff is always courteous, pleasant, and happy to help, and the food is always delicious. You can tell they care about doing things right. Highly recommend pulling over for a bite here.“
“Had their truck come out on Halloween night for our HOA Community Event and the entire interaction with this business has been nothing short of amazing, and the food was so on point! The owner was so patient and kind when I needed to reach out with questions leading up, they were on time, helpful and organized with everyone's orders and we had a really good turnout and everyone loved their food!“
