Southern Roost is known for having the best grilled chicken and delicious crysonts for dessert. The peanut butter milk shake is awesome, and the pimento cheese, made in-house, is so good and available to buy by the pint or whole pan. The breakfast burrito with sausage and hash browns is pretty good, though the hash browns can be a bit too crunchy. Food is good, but could be great; butter used is a vegetable oil spread, which is unhealthy. Service is fast, and the staff are always nice and helpful. The restaurant has a nice decor and vibe inside, plus a great outside patio area. New specials are available for each day of the week, and Bone in wings have recently been added. However, orders should be checked, as meals can be missing items; the restaurant will make it right. For those pressed for time, ordering ahead on the app is recommended.
