“I like the food, but the(entree) small-sized portion isn't worth five dollars. I know some would say don't eat there, but that's not the point. The point is all establishments are raising prices and cutting the portion sizes.“

“My family and I preferer this Chinee's restaurant to any others. This is a family base restaurant and they go out of their way to remember your name and your preferred items on the menu. They are genuine with their care for their customers. We are definitely loyal & repeat customers. Enjoy the food as much as we have!!!!“

“Food is always very good here and the quality is consistent. We ordered take out and they forgot to include our Lemon Chicken. We didn't notice until we got home, so we called to let them know. They apologized and offered to deliver it to us. When our delivery arrived they gave us free Rangoon's.
Very nice of them to do all that for one order of chicken.“

“Having just moved to the Statham/Winder area, we thought there wouldn’t be a lot of places we could frequent for dining out. I was hesitant to try Chen’s family because nobody was there and the building itself is rather unassuming. I have to say though, I’m glad I did. There’s not much to the dining area even though it is really clean. They were very friendly and served my food promptly with a smile. The reason it was empty was because most of their business (at least on a Sunday night) was take out. Even though they had a ton of orders and several pick ups, I still had great service!
The food was very reasonably priced and probably one of the top 3 best tasting Chinese I’ve had. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars was because it was a bit warm in the dining room for an optimal experience. If you’re passing through the area it’s just a short detour off the beaten path. We will definitely make this a new favorite!“

“Ordered take out. Honey chicken, vegetable fried rice, and fried dumplings. I have leftovers from the amount of food given. Surprised how good it was. I was thinking it's just another Chinese food place, but no this is some seriously good food.“

“The dinner buffet isn't as huge as some, but at less than $10 with tax, it's quite reasonable. I was surprised and pleased to see egg foo young on it! This eatery has been here at least fifteen years -- that's when I bought my house in Auburn -- so clearly they are doing everything right. Staff was friendly on-site, too.“

“Just moved to the area. I ordered through Uber Eats....didn't realize the distance until after placing the order. Regardless of the distance(over 30 min away), the food was still fresh and warm. I've had a decent amount of Chinese food in my lifetime. Loved their Wonton soup. Its the traditional base of wonton with shrimp and other veggies added. Well worth the cost. I also ordered Potstickets and Chicken Lo Mein. Both were freshly made. Working in the restaurant industry, I know they prep certain items ahead of time to have on hand throughout the day. Both were made this morning. The Lo Mein couldve had a little more flavor but adding soy sauce helped. I personally like ALOT of flavor. The to go container was packed full as well. Reading other reviews saying they're overpriced is NOT accurate!!! I got soup, appetizer, and a huge amount of food for $23. It was lunchtime. I'm sure prices go up slightly for dinner. Still worth it.“

“I found this fabulous restaurant by accident, before its new sign was installed, immediately on entry I met Hostess, Anna, daughter of the cheif and co-owner. The decoration and food are both authentic and traditional Chinese. The portions are more than generous and delicious. In the past six weeks this has become my exclusive go-to eatery. Several new places have opened in Monroe (Walton County) and Da Peng is far and away the very best Chinese Restaurant in Walton County. It is well worth a trip even from downtown Atlanta 50 minutes away. In these still early days no reservations are needed but I predict as word gets out there will be a need for a reservation.
I have with guests now brought and greatly enjoyed more than ten of their dishes, each has been excellent. Tender beef, juicy chicken even under the crusty breaded wings, the stuffing inside their deep fried Rangoon Crab, the vegetables are always fresh and crunchy yet soft! Mongolian Beef is beyond belief, even Orange Beef custom ordered off the menu, Hot and Sour soup is a must on every stop on each of my now many take-out orders ( I always get the large version version that is still flavorful on microwave re heating days later. Please give Da Peng a try and say hello to Anna.
Kid-friendliness: My six year old granddaughter says this is her favorite place to eat!“

“Huge fan of this place. Seems to be family ran. Havent tried everything on their menu, but i would strongly recommend the sesame chicken, fried pot stickers, the wonton soup (great!), crab rangoons. These are consitently great! Price is fair and we get enough to eat at least twice. Im telling you, if you dont like your food from here, try ordering something else!“
