“Decided to stick with a classic & they did not disappoint. My fiancé & I shared an appetizer + entree which was plenty of food! The steak was cooked perfectly and the spinach dip was delicious. I tried their Dragonfruit Margarita which was definitely the star of the show!! It was AMAZING & I also got the long pour which turned out to be almost 3-4 cups!

“Having just moved to the Statham/Winder area, we thought there wouldn’t be a lot of places we could frequent for dining out. I was hesitant to try Chen’s family because nobody was there and the building itself is rather unassuming. I have to say though, I’m glad I did. There’s not much to the dining area even though it is really clean. They were very friendly and served my food promptly with a smile. The reason it was empty was because most of their business (at least on a Sunday night) was take out. Even though they had a ton of orders and several pick ups, I still had great service!
The food was very reasonably priced and probably one of the top 3 best tasting Chinese I’ve had. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars was because it was a bit warm in the dining room for an optimal experience. If you’re passing through the area it’s just a short detour off the beaten path. We will definitely make this a new favorite!“

“We ate here during a weekend visit to UGA. It was by far the best meal we had the entire visit. The atmosphere was great, the waitress and staff were excellent, and the food was soooo good! The croissants were melt-in-your-mouth flaky goodness. I would come here everyday just for those! Filets, salmon, mashed potatoes and even the Caesar salad was all amazing. I had two fish-bowl margaritas, and omg they were so tasty, and were only $7 each. And this wasn’t during happy hour. If I had known the margaritas were only $7 when I ordered them, I would have a had a few more! Don’t pass this place up. Best place to eat and have a few drinks while in Athens. We will definitely be making this place our go to restaurant whenever visiting Athens!!“

My wife and I had the absolute pleasure of dining at Girasoles, and it was an unforgettable experience! From the moment we walked in, the ambiance set the tone for a perfect evening.

We started with a glass of wine and their seafood stuffed hush puppies, which were nothing short of perfection—crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and packed with flavor. For dessert, the crème brûlée was divine, with the perfect caramelized top and creamy custard that left us wanting more. To top it all off, the espresso martinis were an exquisite end to the meal, crafted to perfection and the ideal blend of bold coffee and smooth indulgence.

“We had never been here but my wife received a gift card so we decided to go for our 3rd wedding anniversary. We made reservations and they had a table ready for us when we arrived. The service was excellent, the food was delicious and the prices were reasonable. We had money left on our card so we returned a week later and it was just as good as the first time. “Solid brewery! Ample seating in a nice clean space. The staff is friendly and the restrooms are clean. The live music for tonight was great! There were only a few of us inside but they were a fun bunch. Good amount of parking out front and had no trouble finding a spot. I’m not sure where you'd park though if this place was packed. You walk right into the gift shop when you enter, and the taproom is directly to the left. Overall, a solid experience made more enjoyable by the clientele and music at the time.“

“Was a nice place. Lots of pros some cons. Although this is a 5 star review there was somethings I didn't like.
Water glasses were metal and very small. Plates were tiny. Didn't like that there were virtually no vegetables. Only mushrooms and bean sprouts. Did not have any zucchini or other vegetables that would have been nice. The corn with cheese was just OK. Did not like that they only bring out 2 Meats at a time. Other Korean places will allow to order and cook more than two at a time. Peppers and onions and zucchini would have been nice. NO BUFFET available to go along with the dinner. Also did not feel that an automatic 18% tip was appropriate . It's supposed to be a self cook restaurant similar to the melting pot or kpot restaurants. Didn't like there was no knives. At least there were forks upon Request . Didn't like the paper napkins that were crammed into the diner style dispenser. Also $15 for a mixed cocktail 🍸 was very pricey. Don't expect to get out of there with 2 people for under $115. Choice is yours.
With all that said, I did enjoy the meal. Not sure if I would go back unless they improved on the above.

“While visiting my Aunt in Athens we got take out From the Timothy Road location. We were told an hour. I arrived 50 minutes later, paid and waited about 10 minutes for the server to return to the bar with our order. I could tell the pizza box was not warm but when it was handed to me. When we arrived at my Aunts condo just a few minutes up the road the pizza and pasta were COLD. Frustrating to have to wait for cold food. The salads were good and the taste of the pizza and pasta were good. Next time I guess I’ll order and wait at the bar?“

“I am a South Georgia girl who has been waiting for the Athens, GA location to open. Let me just say that the workers at the Athens location were AMAZING!! I was so excited to eat Surcheros again, but now I can’t wait for a chance to dine in with them! I am almost positive I was greeted by every person working and they all were so cheery and had smiles on their faces. This is definitely an environment I want to eat in and people I want to talk to! “Tried to order the steak and ribs combo. Was told they were out of ribs. Got the steak and shrimp instead. My two sides were mashed potatoes and fries. Got 4 shrimp the size of quarters. And the sides also seemed very underportioned. Most restaurants I go to, I struggle to finish my plate. Here, I'm left still hungry. I feel they need to re-access their portion sizes and how four little shrimp can equate to a slab of ribs. While the quality is good, the quantity is questionable. I'll pay the extra price to leave full from Chophouse next door.“

We decided to have a little fun and take the Harley out today in 94 degree weather which I highly don’t recommend 🤣🤦‍♀️ came in for lunch and we’re seated quickly. Our server was very fast and prompt. We clearly were in need of water and she had those on our table very quickly. Our drinks were delicious, I had some mixed berry cocktail and the bartender did an amazing job! My partner got the rib special and omfg those were amazing and falling off the bone. I got a burger, something with Matt in it and it was soooo wonderful! I have never finished an entire burger anywhere but I did today!
Anyways I highly recommend this place. Food was amazing and service was wonderful and friendly. Our server did forget to put in our fried pickles but things happen and I’m not going to fault her for an honest small mistake. I appreciate she realized after we got our meals and apologized for her tiny mistake. Not many people can do that anymore.“

“My grandson wanted chinese food, I didn't know the area and we had decided to get chick fil a but then saw China Star behind the chick fil a and decided to give it a try . The food was hot and fresh, and delicious. I did not order anything from the hibachi or sushi so not sure how those items are but what I did try was very good. My grandson loved it and ate 3 plates full. Fresh fruit was good as well.“
