Mya was a great server, and the restaurant is housed in a very cool historic building that adds a lot of character to the experience.

We visited on a Tuesday, so it wasn't very crowded, though we made a reservation just in case. My guess is that during the school year it probably gets much busier.

I ordered the hamburger with Hot Fries. The burger was cooked perfectly to my requested medium-rare, which impressed me since thinner patties often end up closer to medium or well-done. The only minor critique was the bun. The burger and toppings were very juicy, and the bottom bun became soggy fairly quickly. That said, it was still a delicious burger.

The Hot Fries were excellent, with a unique airy crispiness that made them stand out. They were flavorful without being greasy at all.

Overall, a solid meal, great service, and a place I'd happily visit again.“

“We went here on a Friday night. WE messed up the date of the reservation but they worked us right in very kindly with no fuss. We ordered an antipasti board and ended up getting a second one. It was excellent. We also had the escargot which was excellent. My favorite dish was the Creste Di Gallo Ai Funghi. Outstanding. Our waitress recommended a Grasso Barbera which was perfect for the mushrooms/sauce -- so good we got a second :).

“Placed a To Go order because my husband was working across the street and had smelled it for hours after I hyped it up. He was all for the order and we live almost 2 hours away. I haven’t been to this Rafferty’s in 10+ years. My husband has never had it. I got the regular burger and my husband had the bbq burger and we also ordered fried mushrooms. Flavor is unmatched, quality was top tier and the way everything was packaged looked as if it took time, not just thrown together quickly. Even after an almost 2 hour drive, it was all still perfect! It reminded me of when I was younger and my grandparents took me to this same location often and I always got the burger. The staff then knew my grandparents by name and if I remember correctly, always remembered their orders. The burgers are the best we’ve ever had, hopefully another chance arises for more Rafferty’s in our future. Thank you for always being delicious and consistent.“

We started with the appetizer sampler, also had the Tom Kha, Tropical Fried Rice with shrimp, pad Thai with pork, pad see-ewe with chicken and a second pad see-ewe shrimp. Washed it down with Thai iced tea and Thai coffee. Everything was fantastic! We will definitely be going back.“

Frankly, I had to scholl through 3-4 pages and Ossetian Athena finally came up … we’ll worth the wait! My wife & I had a great over appetizer, Mushroom Bruschetta, Caesar Salads & Salmone Al Pistacchio including an Italian Blend … simply outstanding! “Taqueria Del Sol is delicious! The service is quick. The only thing I was a little disappointed about this visit is dirty dishes were stacking up even though several servers went by. That usually doesn't happen.
Now to the food, we started with the cheese dip with jalapeños which was a very generous portion served with crispy chips. I ordered the roasted chicken enchiladas with the beef red chili. It had just the right amount of spice. It was delicious. also ordered the shrimp corn chowder and turnip greens. The shrimp corn chowder used to have more shrimp, a lot more shrimp. The last two times I ordered it the lack of shrimp was evident. I think my cup had three. This was a go to every time but I think that will be my last time ordering it. The turnip greens were delicious but a little salty. I will probably get those again. I did not finish any item on my plate because there was so much.
My Honey ordered the brisket tacos and the rice and refried bean combo. He said all three were very good.
We both took an orange home. Delicious.
I highly recommend Taqueria Del Sol for a date night or day and a delicious meal.
Pay attention to the hours as they close in the middle of the day and reopen at night.“

“While visiting my Aunt in Athens we got take out From the Timothy Road location. We were told an hour. I arrived 50 minutes later, paid and waited about 10 minutes for the server to return to the bar with our order. I could tell the pizza box was not warm but when it was handed to me. When we arrived at my Aunts condo just a few minutes up the road the pizza and pasta were COLD. Frustrating to have to wait for cold food. The salads were good and the taste of the pizza and pasta were good. Next time I guess I’ll order and wait at the bar?“

“We loved this restaurant! The waiters were cool, food was delicious, ambiance was beautiful. Love that they sat us in a booth with beautiful amethyst quartz surrounding it- it's my birthstone. The kids ordered boba tea and got to keep the panda cups, an adorable souvenir. I ordered the beautiful bento box and my daughter was mesmerized and ready to trade meals. They have a great lunch special. Free parking with handicap spaces in the front and a large back lot.“
