I'm so glad we came across this barbecue joint... this is some of the best barbecue I've ever had! I had them fix me a little sample plate, chicken, ribs and brisket and all 3 were very good. I also got potato salad and coleslaw which were both also good my wife got the baked beans and those were pretty good as well! I just wish we lived a little closer, 😂 I'd eat here 2 times a week or more!
Just had brisket chicken mac n cheese collard greens and dessert! Literally EVERYTHING was so good !
The best Brisket in the Golden Isles! I moved to SSI from Texas and was disheartened by the brisket I tried in several acclaimed local barbecue spots….too dry for me. We finally found Gary Lee’s and we make the drive from SSI to get juicy brisket just like I loved in Texas!

Based on multiple reviews, Gary Lee's Market | Barbecue serves some of the best BBQ ever tasted. The BBQ is absolutely amazing, with the brisket sandwich being a go-to favorite, along with the ribs and pulled pork. The burgers are huge with a nice smoked flavor. The jalapeno sausage is out of this world, and the bacon has a slight hint of sweet. The sides are delicious, including the best brisket and beans, baked beans, collards, and Mac. The smokey flavor is unique, and the BBQ sauce is the bomb. The staff is friendly, welcoming, and very attentive. It is a great value for the money. This place is consistently good, and each experience seems to top the last.
