We came here for AYCE sushi and the food was honestly really good — fresh fish and the rice portion was not overly heavy (which I really appreciate compared to some other sushi places). Everything tasted clean and well-balanced.

That said, the service wasn’t very welcoming. There wasn’t much greeting or friendliness, and when we asked a simple question about holiday pricing, the response felt a bit cold and rushed. The food also came out automatically, so there wasn’t much table service besides clearing plates.

Overall, great sushi quality and a solid AYCE option, but I wish the customer service was warmer. I’d still come back for the food, just with lower expectations on service.“

“We were incredibly pleased with the food and will absolutely return again - so much so that I’m actually writing a review which I haven’t done in years just because of how great that meal was. The Chicken Pad Thai was perfectly seasoned and a great blend of sweet and spicy and the Red Curry was creamy and rich, also highly recommend the pork gyoza which was actually crispy on the bottom (hard to find in my experience) and juicy! We also got the Shrimp Tempura roll which was delicious! We also thought the portion sizes were very generous and both had enough for leftovers. Anyone looking for a fresh new Asian food spot has got to come try Akami!“

“5 STARS ALL THE WAY!!! By far the best fried rice in town! Everything is made & cooked to order. Our 9 year old always gets a sushi roll everytime we come here. We are pretty partial to the beef fried rice, but everything we get here is fantastic! It is a small space to dine-in but we always do. Most people get to-go! We like to eat in because the service is great and they already know what we are going to order!“
