“We went to Sakégura for the first time yesterday to celebrate my husband's birthday, and we had an all around wonderful experience!! We initially had a 6pm reservation for a party of 8 but needed to adjust the time earlier at the last minute. They graciously accommodated and were most welcoming and attentive to our family. Everything was set up, including the high chair, when we entered, and the service was expedient, efficient and exceptional. Very, very friendly and professional team. As a family with diverse dietary restrictions, we appreciated the careful attention to ensure clarity when taking our orders. The hibachi chef was also superb, taking time to engage the kids, acknowledge my hubby's birthday and verify the details of each order. The food was perfectly cooked to order with generous portions. Overall, it was one of the absolute best dining experiences we've had in a while. We've lived in the area for five years, and I've shopped in this area regularly but have never tried Sakégura. They fulfilled my special request of adding extra (x3) eggs to my fried rice, and their sesame chicken is simply delicious. In fact, it was so good after trying it for my first time in my car after pick-up then proceeding to drive home it put me right to sleep and I hit a parked car 1 minute away from arriving home. “It was a busy Saturday night so I was glad I made a reservation with OT. When I arrived there was a reserved sign on the table. We had Thai food and sushi . We had two different crunch rolls, Massaman curry with beef and Pad see ew with chicken. Everything was quite good.“

“Very clean and simple layout featuring a sushi bar as you walk in and both indoor and outdoor seating.

We were greeted quickly and shown to a table immediately.

Our complete order ended up being: 2 waters, 1 cold green tea, 5 rolls, 1 Chef's Nigiri, and 2 Green Tea Ice Creams.

We were presented with miso soup to begin, along with kimchi, shredded daikon, marinated broccoli, and pickled onion.

Loved that they gave us soup spoons and chopsticks without the usual fork, knife, and spoon.

For the rolls we ordered Garlic Crunch Roll, Hide and Seek Roll, Mango Tango Roll, Volcano Roll, and Golden Tiger Roll.

Nigiri was fresh and their rice was good.

I don't know where/who they get the green tea ice cream from, but it was the perfect ending for the meal.

Have easily spent the same amount at flashier, popular sushi places and gotten lower quality, so this was a solid homerun in our book.“

“I ordered the Sundaeguk (순대국) for $17, and it was absolutely delicious. The soup was incredibly hearty, rich, and comforting — exactly what you want from a good bowl of sundae soup. The portion was generous, and everything tasted fresh. The kimchi and kkakdugi sides were also crunchy, flavorful, and paired perfectly with the soup.

The restaurant operates self-serve style. You order at the kiosk in the front, they call your number when the food is ready, and you pick it up at the front corner. Water, utensils, and seasonings like salt and pepper are all available for you to grab yourself, which makes everything quick and efficient.

The only downside is the space — it’s quite small inside. When I went, there was still plenty of seating at tables and booths available, but I’ve heard it can get really packed during peak hours. Overall, if you’re craving a comforting, authentic bowl of Sundaeguk, this place absolutely delivers. I’ll definitely be back!“

“We went for lunch while we were in the area. Easy to find and easy to get in and out of the parking lot.

A young girl was working the register and she did an excellent job with the help from mom/sister/aunt. We love family businesses and support local spots like this one.
My boyfriend got 4 types of sushi and said it was all good. I got a hibachi bowl and I loved it, the veggies were clearly fresh, the Udon noodles were seasoned well and the chicken wasn't dry.

“I loved the atmosphere of this place! The ordering method was great. There's a tablet on the side of the table that you order from and a button if you need assistance. The food was good, very straightforward choices for sushi. I wish there were more options that didn't have crab. A lot of the sushi was that, which cut the choices down to about 3 rolls. Service was really nice. Not sure it's worth the price it was worth though. Luckily it was 20% off sushi rolls at lunchtime. But yeah. We ordered the spicy pork bento and 3 Amigos roll + Verizon roll.“

The person working the counter was super friendly. He an iPad available with all the pictures of the meals and tailored it to what I wanted which was half rice half noodles with chicken and steak hibachi and I was also craving the sushi and he recommended the Soho roll, which I enjoyed so much.

Dining in was really calm. I felt safe the entire time, the vintage ambience & music was beautiful. And made me stop eating in my car for the first time.
