“We went to Sakégura for the first time yesterday to celebrate my husband's birthday, and we had an all around wonderful experience!! We initially had a 6pm reservation for a party of 8 but needed to adjust the time earlier at the last minute. They graciously accommodated and were most welcoming and attentive to our family. Everything was set up, including the high chair, when we entered, and the service was expedient, efficient and exceptional. Very, very friendly and professional team. As a family with diverse dietary restrictions, we appreciated the careful attention to ensure clarity when taking our orders. The hibachi chef was also superb, taking time to engage the kids, acknowledge my hubby's birthday and verify the details of each order. The food was perfectly cooked to order with generous portions. Overall, it was one of the absolute best dining experiences we've had in a while. We've lived in the area for five years, and I've shopped in this area regularly but have never tried Sakégura. We've been missing out, but we'll definitely return. My high standards of excellence were exceeded. Thank you Sakégura team!!“

“There is a good variety of sushi, cooked and raw. The sides are good and plenty of fruit. We enjoyed the cheese cake, but something was wrong with the chocolate fountain. The crab legs were plenty, slightly over cooked but good. We enjoyed the variety.“

“Walk in the door and got greeted immediately. The whole restaurant is very beautiful and simple. The lights are so cute I want to take them home. The floors are clean, not sticky, and of course very gorgeous. The small shopfront that they have over the counter is simple but very darling. The lady that helped us was very nice and asked if it was our first visit and let us know about their order system. We ordered and got our food in record time. Out of all the ramen places I've been I have never had the bowl in front of me faster than here. The food was absolutely delicious and we did get some sushi too. The tea comes in a very nice teapot when you get it. If this place was closer to home I would be here every chance I could.“

However, for someone sensitive to texture, some of the sushi was a bit challenging to eat due to the mix of soft, crunchy, and chewy pieces. Some flavors were incredibly bold and left me craving more. The service was excellent, though I did notice that the prices have increased significantly.

“I asked Mrs. K. what she wanted for dinner and she said, "Poké!" so I let Yelp find it for us along the way to where we're spending the night. We arrived at Poké Bar (it's a chain) at around 7pm on Friday and other than three other dudes eating their dinner and drinking some boba, we were alone.

We noticed that the restaurant was clean as we checked over the poké bar, other than a whole lot of boxes stacked in the back. As we ordered our bowl, the tuna ran out but the young man serving pulled out a fresh tray from the cooler and removed the wrap. Yay!

On a sticky white rice base, tuna and salmon, topped with spicy avocado, seaweed salad, krab salad and sesame seeds. With a bit of wasabi on the side that was not needed as the fish was perfectly fresh tasting. The rice was sticky enough that we did not need a fork and we cleared the plate. Quite delicious, filling and fresh tasting.

We'd eat at Poké Bar again!

However, my complaint is than the menu has little to no clarification and the sashimi I was looking for was simply an appetizer. It was very difficult to understand what the menu items were and it felt like we were guessing. The service was great and staff were polite.“

“Our friends brought us here for our wedding anniversary. We came three prior for our son's graduation. It was great then. This time we had less people and we made reservations for four. We were sat at the Hibachi and the hostess waited on us with excellent customer service. She asked about drinks and were we ready to order. She took our order and we were served the drinks, and the complimentary salad with ginger dressing and the soup. Our Hibachi Chef came out about 10 minutes later with all the meats and ingredients. He was very friendly and congratulated us on our anniversary!
He did all the tricks with the eggs and seasoning g. He was very skillful. He even scooped up the rice in a bowl and flipped it a couple of times and then posed to flip the bowl of rice to me and laughed. The bowl of rice was not tossed over to me but handed to me, lol. He cooked over food well and seasoned it great! No complaints. Only that our waiter never came to refill our glasses with water or Sprite. The space is big for large parties. They had plenty of Hibachi grills. We will definitely return!“
