“This place was so good. The menu is HUGE, but you call when you're ready, so there's no pressure to rush through it. But I recommend looking ahead of time because you only have 2 hours once seated. “I hardly write reviews, but had to give a huge shoutout to our favorite sushi spot in Atlanta for their incredible service last night. I’m gluten free and 4 months pregnant so with those two things combined most sushi places would be off limits but not Eight! Our server took the time to walk me through everything on the menu I could still order and even things off menu they could make for me. We landed on the king crab nigiri and off menu avocado shrimp roll with gluten free soy sauce. Both items were fantastic. Our sweet server even brought out this adorable congratulatory dessert at the end! Thanks for another great meal Eight!“

“O-Ku never misses, and this restaurant is literally my favorite place in Atlanta. My fiance and I were celebrating our Birthdays and Joe and Jazmine really made this birthday special for us. We were greeted by Joe, who is always super friendly and inviting. He also added beautiful flowers to the table due to the occasion. We ordered ayedeshi tofu, veggie and pork gyoza, sonomono seaweed salad, miso soup, ramen, 9pc chef choice platter, picante roll, California roll, mochi and green tea ice cream. The cocktail I had was fun and beers were fine. I liked the two different servers/hostess we had, but the service was a little slow.“

“Party of 8, we had a private room right at the front desk. The foods were amazing. The menu is very extensive, love the colorful photos. The dishes came out just like the photos. We tried everything. Fishes were high quality. Rolls were great. Vegetables tempura were very good, the shrimp tempura was average. The soft shell crab salad was a favorite, so was the toro. “This is a good place to have a quiet late lunch/early dinner.The server and the chef were really nice. And getting your food won’t take long.The taste is very good. Especially the fried calamari, and its sauce.Since I am allergic to cucumber, I asked if I could exchange the cucumber for cream cheese or something else, but they wanted to charge extra for the other topping.Would go back to try the fried rice.“

“I loved the food, the service was excellent, but I have to note something that I had to bring up with the manager, who by the way was our waitress as well. When I arrived with my husband the restaurant was at about half capacity. We were promptly seated at a small table near the rear. As the capacity grew, I noticed that 2 additional couples had been seated in the same section at the same type of smaller table. I mention this because, the only 3 African American couples in the restaurant were seated near the rear, at these smaller tables, while other couples were seated at larger tables near the rear or at tables closer to the front of the restaurant. Maybe this was a huge coincidence, but none the less I brought this to the attention of the manager, who immediately stated that the restaurant was not racist. I informed her that I was not stating that. The service and food were great, but the optics of the situation did not look good and that they should acknowledge that behavior and correct it in the future.“

Service was incredible for that large of a party and they let us do a la carte instead of a set menu (which is difficult to find for a party that large). Food and drink were delicious as well! “On our most recent visit, my wife and I started with 2 pieces of nigiri salmon and 2 pieces of smoked nigiri salmon. Both were delicious! “Now this is how you do sushi! I booked the lunch omakase for a birthday gift to myself and it did not disappoint. From the moment you walk in the door, the service is great. The hostess was extremely nice and helpful. She explained everything and when it came to add on she was informative and not pushy. The space is super cute. There is the food bar where the chef is making the sushi. There is also a smaller bar in the back. In the middle is a sitting area with a couch and chairs. The music matched the experience. You can tell this was well thought out. The food! The best sushi I have ever had. The flow of the menu was perfection. From the refresher to the dessert. At the end the chef made sure to talked to each customer and ask about their experience. I can not wait to go back. Run , don't walk, to try this place out. You will fall in love with sushi.“

“Our first dining experience here. We felt like we were eating in a cherry blossom garden. Fresh fish and flavor combinations we haven’t seen before. Lots of choices, beautifully plated. Everything we ordered was delicious and the staff is very attentive and nice. Can’t believe this gem has been in the middle of Sandy Springs for several years and we just found it. They also have a large outdoor patio that we will try on our next visit, soon.“

“Ru Sans is a ever evolving restaurant. The relatively new ownership has only improved an already great quality restaurant that has more of a friendly neighborhood feel. It has traditional Japanese sushi but many American friendly additions have been made over the years to the menu. Have very limited capacity and your order might take a while to cook, but it's always great experience!Because there is limited seating and the chef does not have unlimited energy, you should call before you enter the store to make reservations.If you are new to the restaurant, I strongly recommend you to order their bento box special (A, B, C).“

“They fixed it when I went back to get a refund.I ordered vegetable pho with tofu. I might as well have ordered veggies only because there was barely any tofu. I asked if this was the correct serving size for tofu and they said yes. I’m not ever coming back to this restaurant. For the same price, you get more at Pho 24 across the street. “Had last minute dinner here while passing by and it was a great choice! The combo dinners are a great deal and you get a decent amount of food for the price, especially for Japanese cuisine. The only hiccup was they got our order wrong but was quickly fixed, but we had also seen a table next to us get the wrong order. Very small space but we were seated quickly on a Sunday night. Space is tight so it was awkward to balance a purse in the seat and also make sure it won’t get knocked over. There’s a designated parking lot in the back and other parking options nearby.Parking: Tight lot in the back. Host can tell you more options at a nearby restaurant/street.“

I got sesame chicken and fried rice, dumplings as an appetizer, with a Thai tea. My total was right at $35. Everything tasted amazing. The portions were good enough that I was full and didn’t need to eat again until dinner. The restaurant was open and inviting. There are really big windows that look out onto the street and the area they are in is pretty. It’s walking distance to a lot of other things as well, so if you’re out and want to explore the area this is a good spot to stop at for food. Parking is just down the street and only a few dollars. The restaurant also validates. There is enough space in here for a group to eat comfortably. The decor is authentic and beautiful as well. You’ll enjoy your experience here.“

“Great place for Thai. Restaurant is close to my office, so I have had lunch there quite a few times. Lunch service is fast and never overcrowded for lunch. Prices are in line for the area and may seem a little high but not for the Emory location.“
