“We typically get takeout from Budi’s Sushi a couple of times per month. The food is always so fresh and tasty. We are lucky that it’s walking distance so we’ll walk over with the dogs and one of us will sit outside with them while the other orders, and they always give us water for the Dogs. Everything from their soups, and appetizers to the rolls are worth trying. We typically wind up with enough left over to have a snack the next day too!“

The customer service was good. I ordered hibachi fried rice and veggies (pictured) and the California roll. The California roll was really good, I forgot to get a picture lol
I asked for the rice and veggies to be cooked together, however they weren’t and so I added them together. I didn’t like the rice and veggies too much. The sushi was really good! I’ll return again for sushi only.“

“Calvin ensured our group had the most amazing experience. From cocktails, to Sake, to the food… omg the food. Freshest sushi I’ve ever had in the city. The flavors were balanced and yet explosive. Literally everything was incredible. Make sure you try the lychee martini! If sake is what you’re craving, order a bottle of the Big Hawk. It pairs perfectly with everything on their menu.“

“Hands down, the best sushi I've ever had. They incorporate truffle oil in some of their rolls and if you like truffle, you cannot go wrong. Very savory. I'd recommend the avocado balls, crunchy spicy tuna roll and the snow crab in miso soup. The truffle aioli salmon appetizer is another hit. The cocktails - Wow! Thai Me Up is a their version of a spicy margarita but they use some sort of oil and it is delicious! I'll be craving that drink for a long time. It's not cheap but if you're looking for a treat or have a special occasion, it's a full recommend from me! “We’ve been coming to this restaurant every Wednesday for the past three years, and it continues to impress us every single time. The food is consistently excellent, the service is outstanding, and the half-price bottles of wine on Wednesdays make it an unbeatable value.

Last Wednesday, we were there as usual, and it happened to be the USA vs. Bosnia World Cup match. Anthony, the General Manager, went above and beyond to make it a truly memorable experience. “This was my first time eating at JP’s. By far, the best sushi experience I have had at any sushi restaurants I have ever eaten at in Georgia. The restaurant is comfortable and spacious inside. The service is excellent, very attentive and kind hostess and waitresses. The menu also offers so many creative dishes and sushi rolls. The absolute must try is the Rambada roll. Absolutely delicious. Rolls are all quite large and reasonably priced. This is now my favorite sushi place and one we will be frequenting more often.“

“I came here on a recent date night, and the restaurant was pretty quiet. We had some great sushi rolls and lots to choose from. We also got some cold saki and the saki sangria, which was surprisingly good.

The service could have been a little more attentive I thought with the restaurant not being very busy.“

I got in touch with Pokeworks Corporate and they were deeply apologetic about the experience. I really appreciated that. They also offered me a credit for the meal which is what I’d hoped the manager would have considered.

For these reasons, I’m updating this to five stars across the board. I appreciate when a company truly follows through on making things right.

If you’re ordering anything with shrimp and upon physical visual inspection, you realize that the shrimp sticks to the tongs or is unusually mushy? Do yourself a favor and order something different.

Ruined my evening with bad shrimp and even worse customer service.

When the associate was putting the shrimp in the bowl, I noticed how unusually mushy and sticky it was. Her response to me was “oh, I grabbed it too hard. That’s why.“

Cue me 10 minutes later, biting into what I thought was regular shrimp and spitting it out right after. It was watery, mushy and had no flavor.
I was genuinely concerned that the shrimp was not safe to eat.

So I made my way back to the store to let them know. I asked for a refund because I did not trust them remaking my meal with whatever shrimp they currently have that day.

The associate I spoke to texted the manager, and her response was “the issue has been acknowledged, but because you walked out with your food, there is no refund and no remake.”

You acknowledge that your shrimp is not in good condition, but you’re not going to make it right and I’m out of money and out of dinner.“

It comes with two different kinds of special, high-quality soy sauces that take the experience to the next level.
