Cheek's Stew Life BBQ/Doc's Bar is the best BBQ spot from Royston to Hartwell to Toccoa. The stew is amazing, the beans are mind-blowing, and the BBQ sauce, with its perfect vinegar taste, is hard to find elsewhere. The smoked mac and cheese is a household favorite, and the coleslaw is the only one the reviewers will eat from any restaurant. Even the green beans are superior. They also offer baked potatoes, which are a must-try. The owners are on staff and amazing, making the experience even more worthwhile. Doc's Bar, located in Canon, is the real deal, with free pool tables and the best BBQ in the South, served on Saturdays from 11 am to 8 pm. The atmosphere is great for both young and old, with live bands on the weekends and families enjoying birthday parties together. This place is a must-visit in the area.
