Salty Mule Reviews
Spend a snowless (hopefully) winter in Canton from upstate NY and always enjoy meals at The Salty Mule. From the different appetizers to the well put together meals, I especially like a Friday night fish fry and get the “ fish and chips “. The fish is moist and flaky delicious. And a Sweet Water Amber or Pale ale tops it off.
Visiting from Rome, Ga! Extremely friendly staff, incredible service, and very reasonable prices! Staff was able to accommodate our large party with ease. Such a relaxing atmosphere! thanks y’all!
Disappointed. I used to feel like I was getting a decent value at the Salty Mule especially on the Captains Seafood Platter. But they cut back the portions of the amount of shrimp and oysters and scallops by about 25% on a "Captains" Seafood Platter. Seriously? I now consider other seafood restaurants in the area a better value for the money.

The Salty Mule is a restaurant that offers a pleasant atmosphere and kind staff. The decor is simple, but the food is the highlight, with standout dishes like delicious crab cakes served on bacon creamed corn and sweet potato fries. The menu also features a great selection, including tasty oysters, a smash burger, clam chowder, grouper, and hush puppies. The dining experience is further enhanced by the live singer and guitar player. This local spot is a hidden gem in downtown Canton, known for its very friendly, fast, and professional service. The vibe is laid back and relaxed, ensuring a great experience for customers. The low country boil special and smoked wings are also excellent.
