“I am originally from NJ so this review is definitely authentic. I love this place for my childhood classics. Best Chinese on this side of Ponce. I am sad that they haven't been open in almost 3weeks. No sign on the building or anything. ?
Vegetarian options: I order Broccoli ? with brown sauce. It's my favorite and she makes it perfect EVERY TIME ❤️“

“I got hot pot to share with my family. For four of us, it was about $90. We got the tomato and beef bases- I preferred the beef but both were good. The meat and veggies were good and options were broad. The service was decent.
Bonus- NCT Dream & NCT 127 visited last year and they have a menu signed by the members framed up front.“

“JenChan’s is a friendly neighborhood hangout with an amazing menu, friendly waiters, and a wide selection of games. The food is always fantastic and the drinks are always strong & cold. I would recommend the ginger margarita slushies, the fried mushrooms, and any of the pizzas!!!“

“Harmony was delicious!!! Hostess/Cashier was nice and answered our questions. It was so cool to find a restaurant with all vegetarian options. I ordered the General Taos chicken-it was lunch menu so it came with rice and either spring roll or curry pocket-I tried the curry pocket. The filling was okay but the shell was beautifully crunchy. The chicken was AMAZING! Seasoned well, great crunch- so good. I also ordered hot and sour soup but didn’t even eat it because I was so content. This place is a gem.“

“The waiter was very friendly and informative and was also the bartender. He made an Oatmeal Cookie drink that he invented and it was delicious. We ordered the Xiao Long Bun (AKA Soup Dumplings) and they were amazing! We also had these addictive spring rolls and a really good duck noodles entree. Highly recommend ?“

“Food was surprisingly flavorful. The seasoning reminds me of a high-end omakase or a 3-star Michelin star restaurant. The flavor balance is perfect. It's not like other places where they just cook the meat you order with zero flavoring, this place has a very good flavor. The chicken skin skewer. The pork belly skewer. The special beef skewer. Beef tendon skewer. Sweet and sour pork. The 1664 blanc beer. The assortment of drinks offered is very good. Great service. Hime made kimchee is a must order. I want to come here one a week forever. It's that good.“

“Wow where do I begin to rave a about this place. Lao Wei Dao is one of the best places in Atlanta i have tried to get fresh hand made variations of dumplings. The pork bao soup buns are amazing. The pork dumplings along with chili oil on the side are so good a nice soft chewy texture. The beef and scallion pancakes are a meal in its self. The pork shrimp wonton soup was loaded with juicy large dumplings. I highly recommend to come and try this place before trying any other dim sum restaurants in Atlanta. The price you pay for freshly hand made dumplings here is unmatched. If Icould rate this place it would be 10 🌟's.“

“Okay this was a great surprise! We always shop at h-mart in the same mall and eat at the food court but decided to try something new. I’m so glad we tried! The food is delicious, free jasmine tea, and the size is huge! You can certainly share some of the meals. Service is excellent as well. Highly recommend.“

“This Michelin recommended spot did not disappoint! The hand pulled Chinese noodles and dumplings are simply to die for. I had the beef soup, which was filled with handmade noodles and tender beef. The Shanghai pan fried pork buns are insanely good as well. I will most definitely be returning to this staple of Buford Highway!“

“Definitely one of my most favorite restaurants on Buford HWY! First I wasn’t sure if the chef was from Sichuan, but when I tasted a few key dishes, then I know he got it right. Later I found out the chef especially went to Sichuan for training! Great value for the $ and authentic taste - it’s a double win!“

“Came in late from a concert and wanted some food before my drive home! All I gotta say is the pho broth hit the spot!! There aren’t too many spots that have the broth where you can tell that those beef bones have been marinating. Definitely recommend if you’re looking for a late night pho spot !!“

“Chai Peking has been an Atlanta Kosher fixture for over 20 years and I am happy to say it is as good as ever. While my family and I have ordered many, many times in those 20+ years I thought it was time for me to write a review. First and foremost I am a very fussy Chineese food afficionado as it is one of my favorite types of food. Being a BalTeshuva I have tasted many treif versions in my youth. So you can imagine I'm a tougher critic than most FFB reviewers. Fortunately I can happily say that most every dish we've had has been extremely good. My family is allergic to garlic so we always ask them to remove it. I can't imagine how much better it would be with it since it is really good w/o. Over the years the food has been very consistent. It always tastes the same which is a good thing. My only gripe food wise is the fried rice. I find it very bland and boring. We were in a restaurant in Florida recently and I was reminded how amazing good fried rice can be. I wish they would work to improve it. Oddly my family seems to enjoy it, but maybe because they never had better. The main dishes however are really delicious and compete well with other restaurants Kosher and non Kosher from what I recall all those years ago. Almost everyone I know in the community really enjoys Chai Pekings food, never heard anyone complain about it. It is also nice they have a fairly large menu unlike some places I have been. Another minus though is that it is take out only and while you can eat if one of a few small tables is available at the Kroger it is hosted in, I long for the wonderful atmosphere a true Chinese restaurant can offer. However despite that I am enormously grateful just to have the opportunity to enjoy the wonderful food. My familys favorites are Sweat and Sour Chicken, Beef and Chicken Lomein, Sesame Chicken, Egg Rolls, Wonton Soup, Dumplings, and my all time favorite Chicken with Cashews which is better at Chai Peking than any other place I have ever had it at. If I could afford it, I would eat there every day. The wait time is another area that could be improved. It is sometimes accurate to the given wait forecast but on busier days can easily be double which can be 45-60 minutes or more. I know this can be challenging for any busy place but I just wish they could get a better handle on it consistently. Another less frequent but still annoying occurence has been driving home to find out they forgot to add the Cashews to my dish. We live too far away to drive back and complain which is frustrating. It has happened a number of times in the last year or two so I recommend everyone to check your order carefully before leaving. So while I have mentioned several negatives I cannot stress enough how much the positives out weigh the negatives. I love love love Chai Peking and hope you will too.“

“Thank you P.F. Chang’s for making my PHD celebration a success on Saturday night. Words cannot express the gratitude that I have to Kaye the manager, her team, and our special waitress “Shanequia” for her exemplar customer service. From the first day that I called Kaye and explained what I needed, she was truly a blessing. Out of all the restaurants I called, Kaye was the only Manager, who was consistent, timely, and treated me like I mattered. I will forever be grateful for Kaye’s upmost level of professionalism and genuine kindness. Lastly, I must say I have never met a waitress like Shaneqia. Even this morning as I reflect on my night, I am still speechless. The time and energy that it takes to serve people takes grace and kindness. Shaniqua was a ray of sunshine, and every time she came to our table, her words, and her actions, were truly reflective of the amazing person she is and the amazing worker you have. Thank you Kaye and Shanequia for making my night a Blessed success. I pray that God continue to BLESS you both beyond measure. 🫶🏽♥️🖤♥️🫶🏽“

“The girls serve you excellently, they are very friendly, the food is delicious. I love that the menu has photos and it is very easy to choose because we can see what it is about, and the waitresses explain to you if you have questions about any ingredient, you can feel the Peruvian style in the dishes, my favorites are the wanton soups with shrimp and the pork ribs with salt and pepper, are very divine and all the dishes are large, good portions.
Parking: It's big and free
Kid-friendliness: There are dishes that children can eat

“This is a really exceptional restaurant. The smokey wok flavor really comes through on the Seafood Vermicelli Chow Mei Fun / XO that I got. The Snow Pea Tips had good quality real crab meat in the egg sauce, and it tasted really fresh. The fried fish with XO sauce had a unique taste that I've never had before, and it might be the best fried fish I've ever eaten! I mixed some of the XO sauce and puffed rice from the fried fish with some white rice and made a whole new delicious flavor! The chili oil was really good, too. It's not as hot as I am used to, but it used Scechuan peppercorns like you are supposed to, instead of just red pepper flakes. The flavor was top-notch!
The food is served in the traditional Chinese family style, where they give you big serving dishes that are meant to be shared, and then everyone eats some of everything out of their own small bowls. If everyone gets their own thing, there is no way you will be able to finish.
All of the food tasted very fresh. I am excited to bring my family and friends here to let them try the food. I have to have that fish again. I'll try to post more pictures of the food the next time I come back.“

“Really great Chinese breakfast made fresh to order. I loved the crispy garlic chive pie dripping with bright green chive oil, the lamb viscera soup, and the danbing with egg and cruller inside. Don’t let the viscera put you off of trying the lamb soup as it’s just a comforting, savory broth with soft, not chewy or gristly bits of lamb. And don’t forget to get dessert next door at Family Baking afterward!“

“This restaurant has quickly become part of our weekly rotation, and for good reason! The food is consistently excellent. The Szechuan fish sauce dish is absolutely amazing—perfectly cooked fish with a flavorful, spicy kick. The beef with leeks and cilantro is another standout, with tender meat and fresh, aromatic flavors. The menu has plenty of variety, but these two dishes are our go-to favorites. Highly recommend giving this place a try if you’re looking for delicious, authentic flavors!“

“I came over to order food from another place and ordered from here because the wait for my other food was 45 minutes to complete. I ate the vegetarian spring rolls while I was waiting. They were so good that when my other food came, I had to come place another order before heading home. Amazing food. Fast and friendly service. I would highly recommend.“

“Good service and food. Basic decor.
The service is quick and accommodating. She was willing to make changes at my request such as crispier fries and steamed dishes to avoid soy. It's counter service but she brought it out to me.
Their food is typical Chinese fast food. But they are willing to make changes. I asked for my fries to be crispier and she didn't hesitate to make a note to the chef. Also, there are options to stem dishes if you prefer that.
I ended up with lemon pepper wings and fries. They were those crispy small wings with a generous portion of fries. The fries were golden, crispy and had that touch of chicken flavor from the oil. They have jarritos.
It's a good price. A generous lunch with a drink was $12.
Dietary restrictions: I usually avoid Chinese food because of soy. Here, they were quick and happy to create a gluten-free, soy-free and dairy-free meal for me. They had unbreaded wings but were willing to steam other meals, like chicken and broccoli for me.
Notably, there were A few pieces of tempura in my fries.“
