Clayton’s Chicken & Chophouse provides an excellent dining experience with outstanding food. The steaks, including the New York strip and flank steak, are grilled to absolute perfection, tender, and flavorful. The chicken tenders are very well-seasoned and super tasty, and the fried flounder or special fish and chips are light, crispy, and packed with incredible flavor. Other notable dishes include a phenomenal steak sandwich, delicious Brussels sprouts, a wedge salad, and traditional French onion soup. Homemade sauces, like the chimichurri, are a benchmark of the restaurant. Meals end perfectly with desserts like the Lemon Cheesecake with Blueberry Compote.
The service is generally friendly, attentive, genuinely welcoming, and fast. The atmosphere is cool, with table top seating and outdoor seating available in warmer months. The cocktails also hit the spot. While most staff are impressive, there can be occasional distractions at the bar. Overall, it is a truly fabulous spot for a terrific lunch or a Girl's Night, offering great value and an experience that makes guests eager to come back.
