“I highly recommend this ice cream bar! From the moment I arrived, I received a warm and welcoming greeting. Since it was my first visit, the staff took the time to explain the menu and share details about the offerings and the neighborhood. They provide both soft serve and vegan ice cream options. I chose the coconut soft serve in a matcha waffle cone, which was absolutely delicious! I can't wait to return for the ginger beer float—yes, you read that correctly! I plan to use the coconut ice cream for that as well.“

“So this spot has been in Fayetteville for awhile apparently and I didn't know it. My husband and I stopped by and I sampled pineapple and we ended up getting cherry and strawberry lemonade. Deeeelicious! Customer service was great too. I returned within 15 minutes with one of my sons and I got an additional flavor (mango with Tajin) -you gotta try it! My son was very pleased with his Sour Apple/Sour Rainbow combo. I know I'll be back, I must try all the flavors by the end of the summer. Flavor, excellent. Texture/consistency, superb!“

“The weather was nice, the friends were out for a stroll after a morning of volunteering, what better reasons to stop into Big Softie for a cool treat! LoL. As I walked in my senses were attacked by fresh smells of sweet cream and fresh waffle cones. To say I was instantly excited would be an understatement. I was overjoyed by the instant memories of childhood and the local ice cream parlor. The nostalgia was free with my order. Ha! Walking up to the cashier to order, the young lady was very nice and greeted me with a smile. As I was the last of the group to order I knew what I wanted. I partook in a small vanilla on a cake cone with rainbow sprinkles (jimmies where I’m from). I placed my order, provided my name, and stood to the side. Once my order was ready, my name was called and my excitement started all over again. The ice cream was perfectly sculpted. It looked as if every sprinkle was perfectly placed and the ice cream to cone ratio was perfecttttttttttttttttttt. I’m one who bites the top of the swirl off first and upon FIRST BITE… I was planning my next visit back. LoL. Fresh Ice Cream Fresh Cone Super Fresh Sprinkles And best of all, the cream to sugar ratio was algebraically perfect. It’s official. I’ll be back in two weeks for my next fix. Dare I say, Big Softie is now in my Top 5 for Ice Cream, and #1 for Soft Serve. Do yourself a favor and get you some. 🥳“

“I was on a hunt for the gooey butter cake ice cream for at least a week. My search lead me to the Blue Bell creamery. Although the creamery doesn't service the public, there's was this ANGEL that answered the door. Mrs. Ray assisted me in locating a store nearby, and she made sure the next time one of her drivers serviced that particular store, they would have gallons of my requested ice cream. Boy oh boy! Thank you so much for continuing to make Blue Bell my favorite brand of ice cream!“

“So excited to have a Big Softie location open just off the Beltline in Old Fourth Ward! It’s just a small little walk-up window but with all the goodness of the other locations. A little pricey but I love the soft serve and all their fun toppings!“

“Shake Shack recently went up in my book with the addition of their veggie burger. I always liked the shroom burger but it didn’t really meet my burger craving. The new patty is flavorful on its own and I like that they didn’t just use a fake meat brand. I also like the standard toppings that accompany the veggie burger - pickles, cheese and fried onions. The crinkle fries with or without cheese are always a win as well. What I didn’t like which led me to 4 stars was the state of the bathroom (I’ll spare you the details) and the drinks. I had the pink lemonade and there was so much ice in the cup I couldn’t put the straw in it. We also ordered a soda and it came out wrong. Not the end of the world but paired with the bathroom it just wasn’t a 5 star experience.

“This experience was truly unexpected before coming here. My date and I were on our first outing together, and we initially chose what we thought was a higher-end restaurant for dinner. Unfortunately, the experience fell short, leaving us still hungry and craving something more satisfying. To turn the evening around, I decided to take her to Shake Shack—her very first time visiting one—and this location happened to be the nearest option.

I'm so glad we came because the experience exceeded our expectations. The location was beautiful, the staff were mostly friendly, and the restaurant was impeccably clean when we arrived. We placed our order and initially planned to enjoy our meal on the patio. However, it was getting chilly, and the staff was beginning to close the outdoor seating area, so we opted for takeout instead. In a pleasant surprise, the staff gave us a couple of extra drinks they were planning to discard, and those drinks turned out to be fantastic!

For my date, the visit was a delightful introduction to Shake Shack, and she mentioned she’d definitely return. As for me, although it was my first time at this particular location, I’ve been to several Shake Shack outlets before, and this one lived up to the high standards I’ve come to expect. The food was prepared perfectly, and the staff went out of their way to ensure we had a good experience.

I ordered the truffle burger with cheese fries, while she chose the chicken sandwich with bacon cheese fries. Everything was cooked to perfection—the burger patty was well-done, just the way I like it. The only minor improvements I’d suggest are adding a bit more fried onion to the burger and a bit more ice in the drinks. Other than that, the food hit the spot and made for the perfect ending to our date.

The only aspect I’d change is the ability to sit and enjoy our meal at the restaurant, as it felt a bit like they were rushing to close the seating area. However, that didn’t take away from the overall experience. This location left a great impression on both of us, and I’ll definitely be back.

I was walking from the botanical gardens to the Ponce market and saw this cute shop at the start of the BeltLine trail.
I tried 3 of their vegan gelatos which were all good, they have surprising flavours like basil line and celery! I finally decided to get a peach shake, it was delicious. They also offer a 15% student discount on weekdays which is a bonus!

“Such a lovely experience. The ice cream was delightful. I had the butter pecan. The Best I've ever had. Smoothies are good. I had a strawberry mango. For the ice cream, you can do a single or double scoop with a cup or come option.

Service was wonderful as well. Although there was a long line, they moved through very quickly and had service with a smile. The food and service were so great I had to return a second day. Will definitely visit whenever in the area.“
