“This was a step up from the typical hotel restaurant. Appetizer and main courses were very well prepared. Shandi was our waitress. She was professional and had a very friendly attitude and smile. The DJ playing in the lobby chose some great tunes that we enjoyed during dinner. I recommend this restaurant.“

“Went to South City for an early dinner after getting off the plane and this place does NOT disappoint. Tried the Spicy Cauliflower and Fried Green Tomatoes and both were excellent. The Fried Green Tomatoes had goat cheese put on before frying and normally I am not a fan of goat cheese… this provided a creamy texture and brine that matched perfectly with the tomatoes. My colleague got the Spicy Cauliflower and the pairings of the charred Cauliflower with the spicy peanut relish was delightful and something I’ve never experienced before. The entrees were just as good. My colleague got the Shrimp and Grits and she said it was good- the shrimp looked amazing, but I am not a fan of shrimp and grits together (though I do love them separately). I got the Springer Mountain Farms Fried Chicken and it was so tasty- not the best fried chicken I have ever had- but the collard greens and mashed potatoes may have been the best I have ever had. The chicken was very good, don’t get me wrong, but overshadowed by the amazing collard greens that were seasoned perfectly with garlic and thyme. The mashed potatoes made me feel like I was having my grandmother’s mashed potatoes at Thanksgiving. Finally, I had to try the Peach Pecan Pie… I took it to go and the fresh peaches, the fresh whipped cream, and the glaze… the only thing missing was the pecans (the pie filling was pecan pie filling… but sans pecans so I get what they were doing and it was still fantastic… but a pecan or two would have put it at a 10.). Emmanuel was our server and he knew the menu backwards and forwards and was very accommodating. Loved this place and would go back in a heartbeat. Especially to try the pork chop and spoonybread!“

“This quaint establishment was an absolute gem of a find. From the minute we stepped inside we were welcomed and made to feel part of their family. Our party all ordered something different to eat, we were there around brunch time. They did not disappoint on a single meal. I give them 5 out of 5 on every aspect you could possibly ask for feedback on. Highly highly recommend this awesome venue. Fabulous experience & “Just my cup of tea” 👌“

“Hattie B’s is famous for its Nashville-style hot chicken, and after trying it for myself, I can see why it has such a loyal following. I ordered the spicy chicken sandwich, and while it packed more heat than I typically go for, I have to admit—it was incredibly juicy and full of flavor. The spice didn’t just burn; it had depth, which made each bite a mix of pain and pleasure (in the best way possible).
To balance things out, I also ordered a side of chicken, and this was where Hattie B’s really won me over. The crispy, golden-brown skin had the perfect crunch, and the seasoning was on point—flavorful without being overwhelming. If you’re someone who loves spice but doesn’t want to go overboard, I’d probably recommend going a step down from “spicy” on the heat scale.
Overall, Hattie B’s delivered on flavor, texture, and quality. If you can handle the heat, the spicy sandwich is worth a try, but the perfectly crisp chicken on the side might just steal the show. Would I go back? Absolutely—though next time, I might play it a little safer on the spice level!“

“Vegetarian options: Majority of the vegetarian options are sides, the appetizers, and desserts. The Vegetable platter consists of a variety of the sides that they offer. While the platter was filling and did taste delicious, I would not recommend if majority of the party is vegetarian or vegan as they do not have a separate vegetarian/vegan menu (that I am aware of or saw). So if you are vegetarian, your only option will be the platter.
Parking: Complimentary, but mandatory Valet parking where you can “pay what you want”. There is no fixed price for the parking. We offered to park our own car, but was told that was not an option in their parking lot.“

“This place is delicious! Everything we had was soooo delicious. The brisket sliders and strawberry banana pudding made it worth driving from Columbus. We also had the fried green tomatoes, a garden salad with fried chicken and a side of Mac n cheese which were all good as well. We definitely will be swinging back in when we come back to Atalanta.“

“I had the incredible pleasure of the Miller Union experience last Saturday. I run a small nonprofit meal ministry program in Gwinnett and I am a colleague of your Executive Pastry Chef's mother. Being from industry, but now serving in a different manner, I must say how satisfying it is to know that considering the major challenges presently in the restaurant industry, you have built a culture of service, professionalism, precision and family that is simply impossible to find. You were flawless on that night. I claimed time out of my busy schedule to treat myself, I didn’t have a reservation but was granted the best seat in the house, at the bar, on the corner, right at the service area next to the ticket stabber and the printer. You might ask, why that seat was so great... well, for the first time in 35 years I had no responsibilities being that close to the start and finish of an order. I knew I was in the right place to do something I'd never done before and that was to take my hands off the wheel and allow the environment to take control. I asked, who I believed to be the Sommelier (sorry can't recall his name)to order for me. Of course he would line me up with the best wines without sacrificing my mortgage payment, lol by my request, but I kept eyeballing those Sailor's Greetings passing by and had to inquire. The Bartender was "straight fire" and gave me the scoop... a reduction of muscadine wine!!!! WHAT!!! Anyway, the Pork Belly, the Field Pea and Peanut Salad, all amazing. When it came to the entree I had to pump the breaks on the house choice... I saw Collard Greens with the Pork Loin... being born and raised in the South, I had to know. The moment of truth, Wow! Okay I had to look this... Unicorn in the eyes. Now it's Saturday night so I didn't expect Chef Steven Satterfield to be present but low and behold, he was there. I couldn't see him because he was doing what he was supposed to be doing... Driving the Bus! So after an awesome experience thus far and a visit from who I believe was the FOH Maestro, Neal MaCarthy, it was on to the reason I was there… to experience the offerings of Chef Claudia Martinez. Her team did not disappoint. Again I left it up to the BOH and BAM!!!...the Doughnuts!!! Just phenomenal. So I wrapped up and called for my car and on my way out I was saluted by GM Vince Landi and informed Chef Satterfield had a moment and he was kind enough to greet me. Needless to say, I was honored and proud of know our industry's best days are ahead of us. Thank you Miller Union and Chef Satterfield for a night to remember and for continuing to carry the torch. “My friend girl brought me to this restaurant for my birthday. I had the turkey ribs, collards, yams and Mac and cheese and the bread pudding, we even tried the fried green tomato, she had the turkey wings. OH ! My gosh the food was sooo, ( never heard of nor had a turkey ribs) it was so tender and the sauce was point on. I don't mind paying a good piece if the service and food is great. When I left this restaurant I took a picture and posted on Facebook, telling everybody I know about this fabulous time at this place and they got to try it out. The service, and my waiter was a 10 .plus“

“Honestly, I was surprised. We were in Summer Hill trying to get dinner somewhere else but they couldn't squeeze us in, so we ended up at Southern National. The food was SO good. Great variety, fresh ingredients, flavorful. The drinks and wine selection are spot onz and we've always had great service. We've added this to our regular rotation.“

“I have only eaten breakfast here, but it is always good and inexpensive. This more of a grab your food to go spot. Get the breakfast potatoes and the fried green tomatoes. The country steak is extra crispy on the outside and moist on the inside.“

“I have the stew beef, it wasn’t seasoned well and they left the fat on meat and I don’t like eating slimy texture. Cornbread muffins not good. Greens were ok and rice was fine , potatoes was ok. Food average like a 5/10 . Mango lemonade was pretty good! So many things to choose from hopefully I can go back and taste something better.“

“Was staying at the Wylie Hotel so I stopped into Mrs. P’s for a quick snack and was blown away! The place has such a cozy, nostalgic vibe.
The service was top-notch. Now, about those deviled eggs… oh my goodness. SO garlicky, in the best possible way! They were absolutely packed with flavor, and I was this close to ordering a second round.
Perfect spot for a snack or a light bite. If you’re in the area, don’t sleep on this spot!“

“First impressions are Everything!! Visiting from Louisiana with a friend, we decided to try the College Park location. The greeter, with a very pleasant personality met us at the door and welcomed us in. The energy was high from the staff as well as inviting. We both decided on the Afta Church, tried the fried green tomatoes and added the bussin muffins. Beautiful presentation, deliciously prepared and from my own experience, the meal was intoxicating. I'm a salt sensitive person and I was pleasantly surprised the meal wasn't high in sodium.I don't eat out often but when I do, I want to enjoy it and I love when the meal and atmosphere leaves a lasting impression. I would absolutely recommend treating yourself and your palette to an unforgettable experience at Virgil's Gullah Kitchen & Bar!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️“
“Today I had the privilege of eating and photographing at Aimer ATL.FRIED LOBSTER TAILSToday I had the experience of trying the Fried Lobster Tails, and they were delectable. These tails would be wonderful for lobster connoisseurs and even those who just do not care for it. Why? The crispy, crunch of the batter is full of flavor, delivering a full southern punch to a subtle crustacean. The batter additionally captures the juices within the meat which explodes upon bites. I highly enjoyed the Fried Lobster Tails and would recommend them. <3 ❤-SaSha Elizabeth Photographersasha official . Com“

“I visit today Sunday 8/4/24. I am very familiar with this establishment. The food is good but today I was met with attitude from the little short female meat server. The vegetable server and cashier was good with customer service. I suppose they all are not Christians or maybe christian without christian attitude. Sometimes you are the only Bible people read. The counting of how many Candi yams you give is crazy for the price you pay for a dinner. I think I might go somewhere else for Sunday dinner.“

“You’re probably reading this review wondering “are they really 24 hrs” and the answer is yes. I’m currently writing this at 5:45am after a long night at work. I was in search of something to eat that I didn’t have to cook, and it didn’t disappoint. Fries well seasoned. Wings are nice and crispy. When I first pulled up I thought it was closed, but just ring the bell. The customer service is great and the people are down to earth and relatable. Definitely recommend. Food is made to order at this hour so please expect a 15-20 minute wait unless you order online somewhere“

“Due to trying to find parking we were about 10 minutes late for our reservation however, the hostess was extremely nice and understand and took us right to our table. We did the Valentine's Day Special preset menu which included an appetizer, entree, and dessert for each person. We love preset menus and like to get one of each option so we can try everything. The French Onion Soup and Gem Salad were amazing, I'm still thinking about the truffle orange vinaigrette. Both the filet and lobster risotto were very good but did take a little bit longer to come out. The restaurant was very busy so we completely understood. The desserts were otherworldly. The chocolate cake was rich and dense in the best way and my husband inhaled the strawberry and crème cheesecake, and he doesn't even really like cheesecake! What really made our experience here was our server, Brandy. She was attentive, extremely friendly, and welcoming. This was our first time here but she greeted us like we were her favorite regulars. All in all, this was an amazing experience and we can't wait to go back and try their regular dinner menu and breakfast menus.“

“I couldn't wait to go to Bojangles before and after my visit to the Big Georgia Peach. Bojangles originally started in Memphis, Tn. (If I'm not mistaken) on Lamar. It was the only one. The Best Fried chicken you could have ever eaten. Don't ask how old I am, (lol) but I was a little girl at the time. And it hasn't changed since I had eaten it when I was little. The cashier and the other lady helping her were awesome. Beautiful personality and customer service was Top Notch. Kudos to whomever was consistently cooking chicken n biscuits because we ended up getting 20 pc. And went back to get some for home. Sweet tea was soooo good!! I'm giving Bojangles a 10 Signed Memphis misses you already!“

“We decided to check out Virgil’s on the spur of the moment while we were in Atlanta… from us entering the door, manager Nassier made us feel welcome and thoroughly explained the menu. Once we were seated our waiter Brandon did an exceptional job taking our order and keeping our glasses full… the atmosphere was great and it experience was like none other…I can say this was one of the best if not the best dining experiences…“
