“Been coming for years and coming back for years! Best sushi place in town! Everything is good while we enjoy the tempura and salad because of the sumptuous dressing. Fresh fish, yellow tail, salmon, tuna and others. Good rolls. It can get busy so relax and enjoy the masters are work! Try to Orion beer from Okinawa or a glass of wine!“
“Got there with no reservation on a Friday night around 6 with little wait. Chef was friendly but not overly dramatic. Food was fresh and great taste. Good portions and left full. Staff was efficient and never waited for anything. Will be back.“

“I am all about supporting local businesses and as a person who has been in the hospitality industry for more than 25 years, I completely understand the challenges restaurants face post pandemic. It seems like it's only getting tougher to keep customers happy. I didn't take photos of the plates on purpose. Yes we eat with our eyes (rolling my eyes while I type this), it's Japanese food. You don't need more photos of Japanese Food. We came here on a Thursday evening and it was fairly busy, a good sign. It's been a while since I've been back to Ichiban. We sat down at a table and Ansley was our server for the evening. She was busy taking care of multiple tables. Could service been better, yes. We ordered off the Hibachi menu, chicken/salmon combo and salmon/steak combo with fried rice. My father had the steak bento box. We also ordered the X-Men roll. Food took a while to come out. Sushi Roll came first. It was ok. Entrees shortly after, without our salads and soup. We had to ask for the soup and salad. The food runner must have gone back into the kitchen at least 3 different times for our table. The chicken was good, vegetables I think could have been cut a little larger. They were all chopped up. Salmon, I think it was a tail piece. Not bad. Fried rice, plentiful. FYI, please check your ventilation system.“

“Excellent food with a great variety of menu options to choose from. The sushi is delicious and also quite different than you typically see elsewhere. This is the only sushi spot that I don’t even use soy sauce because the preparation is so good. Top notch service.“

“The food was great and my wife enjoyed her meal (she's been waiting months for some sushi) after delivering at the hospital.
The manager was extremely professional and took great care of us. We had a small issue with our order and they did everything they could to make it right; I'm very thankful for their professionalism and communication. This is the exact kind of business I want to support.“

“Ordered spring rolls which were put in a Styrofoam container. The rolls melted the container!!! There should be a paper barrier between the food and the Styrofoam. I may have to rethink ordering again, I would rather have them in a paper container.“

“We've been eating at Happy Family since 1986. Back in the old buffet days before the re-opening and since. Some things have changed in the last 40 years, but the Happy Family Special with fried rice is still excellent. The red sauce and egg rolls are different than in previous years, but decent. Glad it's still there.“

“I order from your Cumming location at least 1x/week for my family through door dash. Tonight, the menu on DoorDash was incomplete, only listing side items. I called the store and they said they would fix it, but didn’t. So I had to order our entire meal as side items. There were no options listed for sauces. So I called the store to ask for 1 additional sauce (menu cost $1.50). The store manager, Leah, refused, even as I explained that I wasn’t able to order sauces on DoorDash. I will not be ordering from your establishment going forward. That’s terrible customer experience. I’d suggest hiring customer-focused managers.“

“Freshest and best sushi I’ve found in the area. My son loves the ramen 🍜. We order at least once a week. They have a unique menu and their hot green tea is delicious. Service is excellent as well and the restaurant is super clean. I can’t say enough great things about this new Japanese restaurant in Cumming.“
