Great food, great live music, highly recommend
We were super excited to finally try underground for our 11th wedding anniversary. We were ignored for 15 minutes and watched as the waitress walked past us to help a table that sat about 8 minutes after us. We had to say something to her to get her attention. She was dismissive. We won’t be back. We will spend our money at shenanigans instead.
Waste of time and money. Service was lackluster if not missing most of the time. That's even being sat beside server station. Ticket times are incredibly long for what items come out. Portion size for the amount paid is sad to say the least. Was the first and last time I'll go here

Underground is the spot to go to in Dahlonega, a truly local favorite. The food is surprisingly good, absolutely phenomenal, and excellent gastropub style with an international twist. The menu is great and diverse, featuring standout dishes like pork belly steam buns, Arayes, empanadas, and the best tacos. The Cattle Fries are perfection, with huge portions, and desserts like the toffee buns are heavenly. The cocktail menu is great and the drinks are top notch.
The service is always really nice, accommodating, attentive, helpful, super friendly, and 10/10. The managers are very inviting and welcoming, and the restaurant runs like a family. The environment is fairly calm during normal meal hours but gets really fun at night with a fun, youthful crowd. It offers fun late night vibes with regular events: open mic on Mondays, music bingo on Tuesdays, trivia on Wednesdays, karaoke on Thursdays, and live music on Friday and Saturday, while Sunday is quiet and peaceful. With two bars and a patio, there is something for everyone, making it a wonderful place with the perfect vibe.
