Picnic Cafe and Dessertery Reviews
Great place for lunch. We had the chicken salad sandwich on a croissant as while as the pimento BLT. We took home a couple of cookie sandwiches for dessert. We enjoyed every bite. Excellent service as well. We can’t wait to come back.
Absolutely loved this place! Family and I enjoyed our food and the kids LOVED ice cream right after, all right there in the same spot!
Unique little cafe with friendly staff and excellent food. The tomato basil bisque is both unique and delicious. Thicker than standard tomato soup AND it’s full of tomato chunks. Don’t miss the quiche offering either. Can’t wait to go back.

Picnic Cafe and Dessertery, located on the historic square in Dahlonega, offers a delightful dining experience. Known for its delicious food, the cafe welcomes families and provides wheelchair accessibility. Customers highly recommend the peach chicken salad sandwich and the toasted coconut ice cream. The cafe is a very welcoming place with great coffee and teas and a cozy atmosphere.
During busy holiday weekends, the cafe remains a great choice for breakfast, with friendly staff and fantastic service. Everything served is delicious, making it a perfect spot for a cozy breakfast and coffee experience. On colder days, the hot tomato bisque is particularly comforting, and the chocolate chip cookies are a delightful treat. With both indoor and outdoor seating, guests can enjoy their meals. The staff is kind and respectful, and the whole experience is highly recommended. The pimento BLT is divine, the Brunswick Stew is decent, and the potato salad is BANGING. It is a super cute place where everything ordered is delicious.
