We have gone to many breakfast places here in town, and it wasn't until recently that we came in here. Wow. The food is wonderfully made and well priced for the high quality, more affordable then a couple other nearby breakfast places with much less ambiance and warmth from the staff. Very old-school, local, laid back atmosphere. Love the shorter menu. The desserts truly are soooooo good. Highly recommend the cheesecake.Parking: I parked in a lot a bit away from the square. I could see it getting quite busy on a weekend, making parking a little complicated. I didn't have to pay, but I think I did see paid parking lots as well as off street parking.

If Dahlonega is magical than Picnic Cafe is heavenly, as you overlook the square, you realize they have every soul warming food you can imagine. From delicious fresh sausage gravy biscuits, to cheesecake, to ice cream and many fine delicacies in between. There is no losing here, in fact the only way you lose visiting Dahlonega is if you don’t experience this wonderful place.Wish I could give 1 million stars. It is worth it.
