I always make sure when I'm in Decatur to go there. I love their jerk chicken and Mac and cheese.
Great food! Clean environment. Large portions!
Hi. Twas my first time at this restaurant. The Curry chicken patty was a tasty appetizer while I waited for oxtail fried rice to be prepared. I’m not too much of a food-picture-taker… but there’s my just about finished oxtail fried rice. The meat was tender. The egg and veggies were a nice addition. Lastly, when I don’t have to add sauce to rice there’s always additional points to the meal. This rice tastes good with and without the side of sauce!...read full review

Gordon Spice offers the best Jamaican food in town, featuring authentic flavors that never disappoint. The restaurant may have limited visibility and parking, making it hard to find, but dishes like ackee and salt fish and Curry goat are definitely worth the visit. While the prices may seem high, the taste often justifies it. Some customers have experienced issues with service, particularly in the morning, while others have found the night shift to be excellent.
In recent feedback, some diners noted that the food quality has varied, with reports of dried and burnt oxtails and tough greens. Despite these concerns, others still appreciate the flavors, even if the execution can be hit or miss. Unique menu items like burgers have also caught the attention of customers, alongside traditional offerings such as Brown Stew Chicken and Oxtail. For anyone seeking a true taste of Jamaican cuisine, Gordon Spice remains a notable choice, where the food speaks for itself, although there are areas for improvement in consistency and service.
