“My first time here and it was a great experience. The owner was kind and patient, entertaining my million questions about the menu. He let me sample the chicken curry, goat curry, & even the fish & eggplant fish dish he made for staff lunch. The curry was delicious but too spicy for my tolerance level. I got the lamb kabab kati roll, garlic teriyaki wings & fried rice (lunch special), & vegetable samosa. Everything was made to order so it's hot and fresh. The kati roll was like a foot long. The flavor wasn't what I'm used to but I still inhaled it so no pics. I was too full to eat the rest. My only complaint is how hot and small the place was so it's not ideal for dine-in. Come with an open mind if you never had Deshi food before.“

“We stopped in for some tapas and cold drinks and thoroughly enjoyed everything about T.I.P. We had a wonderful server named Brandi, who ironically is mentioned in the reviews. We had questions about some of her recommended tapas and she nailed it. We had a very enjoyable experience and will be coming back again!“

“We loved this. I hope it becomes an Atlanta institution where we're still going here 20 years from now. This restaurant is a bit of a splurge or special occasion type place but totally worth it.

Our server Andrew was great. Everything we ate was delicious and the drinks were fabulous. It scored top points in all categories. My only complaint was that even though the restaurant wasn't full it is very loud in the space. As a coursed meal the pace was great and on the faster side, which I loved.

We both did the 8 course Omesake. My husband's favorite course was the final steak prepped with the cavier and garlic chip. I liked the steak with the egg yolk, ginger, chive the best. The Slider was perfection and a really fun way to end a meal. The only disappointment was the Lobster rice. It was a delicious dish with potential but a little dry and rubbery. I think this one needs work. The sashimi was so fresh and the accompinmets were awesome. Loved the starter trio, I could eat a million of the tacos. So many stars across this meal!

Based on all the bad/mediocre restaurants in Atlanta this is a standout and should go on your list.“

We had a wide selection of mouthwatering dishes, but our top three picks were: 1) Short Ribs 🍖, 2) Ceviche 🐟, and 3) Crispy Pimenton Chicken 🍗. “Hawkers is one of our favs but we have never sat at the bar for this location on the Atlanta beltline! They maintain consistency across all their Atlanta restaurants and we always have a great time. “We had a big party here and our server was doing a fabulous job. It was just her for our large tables so I asked the bartender if I could order a glass of wine from him. He told me I needed to wait for my waitress. I then see him bring a cocktail to a man at our table. What would you call this? The food was absolutely delicious. “Never had something I didn’t love and I order a variety of things from here 2x a month. The flounder dish is one I recommend to friends. All the spice levels are perfect if you are used to spice.

“First time trying Indonesian Food and it did not disappoint. The parking in the area is complicated and limited. The restaurant was beautiful but the door kept opening which kept cooling the place.

The server was super nice and the food came out fairly quickly. The espresso martini was a 1/10, not a well curated cocktail. The smashed potatoes were super bland and lacked flavor. Our entrees on the other hand were absolutely delicious. I loved the Rijsttafel was the best dish to order in order to try the most dishes. The fish curry, shrimp sambal, chicken sate, fried rice and veggie stew were all well seasoned and cooked. I loved it.

I highly recommend and checked it off my list to try a new cuisine.“

“Overall very flavorful food. The hummus was excellent, featuring high quality oil and really good pita to go along with it. The lamb kabobs were huge and really well seasoned. Greek potatoes were also cooked perfectly, well seasoned and crispy. Tatziki sauce also was really good. Prices are a little steep for some of their plates, but there were some less expensive options available as well. The quality here is a lot higher, however, compared to lower priced mediterranean restaurants in the area.“

“Mr. Paul and the chef are extremely talented, personable, and professional. I was there to help for a day when they first opened and had the opportunity to try some of the food. The lamb burger was simply the best I’ve ever had. All of their plates look like art pieces and they do the best at making each one picture worthy.

“Fun Sunday Brunch with DJ, Bingo, and cash prizes. Good place to watch the game. Decent bar drinks. They order hookah. However, I don't partake, so I can't speak to the quality. Jess was my server, and she was very friendly, prompt, and even accommodating when I wanted to chagrin seats so I could see the Saints game. The breakfast omelet was quite tasty, and so were the chicken tacos later that evening.

Parking: Valet is$20, not necessarily worth it. You can park across the street and possibly self park in the same lot. I'm just not sure how.“

“I had a great experience tonight sitting at the bar for a solo dinner. Michael, the bar lead, did a wonderful job training the new guy Andy, while also providing excellent service to all of the bar guests. He kept everything moving in a timely fashion and made time for conversation with customers.

I ordered the bucatini and L’Amore, both were delicious menu items. The sauce for the bucatini was some of the best red sauce I’ve had in a while, plus the pasta tasted fresh and went well with the bread. Looking forward to trying more menu items.“

“Easy place to eat. No frills, no fuss, just tasty food. My neighbor took me for lunch and ordered for the table. I was shocked by how fresh and tasty everything was. The next day I took my family for dinner and ordered for the table and they were shocked. Even the kids were happy. So far our favorite things are: shrimp and polenta, roasted chicken, stuffed avo w quinoa and Mac and cheese. But everything is tasty. Our least faves are the lamb gyro, lamb kabobs and chicken skewers. The lamb was not seasoned enough and fell a bit flat. The chicken skews were dry. Two things: the wait staff is mediocre at best. The desserts are “meh”. Otherwise have fun and eat!!“

“This is a hidden gem in Johns Creek! I visited on a random Tuesday night. I’m a bit of a foodie and can be a bit picky - that said, I thoroughly enjoyed my dinner here. I had the salmon and chose to get it blackened. Despite my requesting it well done, the salmon was still so moist and the lemon vinaigrette drizzle accompanied the dish so well! I also had a spicy margarita and their crème brûlée for dessert. My total experience was amazing! Will definitely be back!“

“This is a wonderful hotel bar in the lobby of Aloft Atlanta. The food is quite tasty, not extraordinary, but better than your average pub. The atmosphere, service, and drinks are quite good, and overall it's worth a visit if you're lodging.The bar itself is not that big: there's less than ten seats in the bar. The lounge area is much bigger, and it even has access to the outside pool area.While they have a limited selection of beers on tap, wine and cocktails are quite good, and definitely their strong point.I ordered two tacos with a side of Mac and Cheese and a local beer on tap. It took a long time, about twenty five minutes to come out, and it wasn't particularly busy. Despite the wait, the food was pretty good!“

“Mostly great!
Hubby and I came for both breakfast and then dinner at the bar.
Breakfast was the strata and the parfait that were both quite nice. There is a breakfast caveat at the bottom to avoid at all costs!
Dinner at the bar was good! Casual and better than standard bar fare.
Hubby had the Margherita pizza and I had a new pimento cheese sandwich.
The stand outs were the bread in both. Often that us an afterthought but not here. Amazing!
I added tomato to the pimento cheese sandwich which was needed as it is rich.
Tip: if you like your fries with some color, ask ahead for them to be crispier.
Item to AVOID AT ALL COSTS:
The grits at breakfast should not be legal in the state of Georgia. Watery, no fat or seasoning. Wimpy to be honest. Really, just take em off of the menu as they aren't doing this establishment any good.
On an up note: shockingly the smoked gouda grits at night were PROPER. Stone ground, fatty, cheesy. Perfection.
I am confused: same kitchen and two different grits? Please serve the p.m. grits in the a.m.“

“Caveat. I'm a professional chef of 30+ years. Visited Atlanta in May 2022 and had our last dinner here with Friends. Got a reservation online easily, waited a couple minutes while our table was prepared. We ordered a number of Tapas to share. Staff did a good job bringing them in a timely manner. Interesting wine list. We ordered a terrific Txacholi (sp?) at a reasonable price. Dishes were all pretty classic Spanish - Ocotpus was good and tender, The chorizo with sweet and sour figs held promise but was a little too sweet and sour. Croquettas were yummy. Everyone at the table loved the child carrots with pistachios. Will say that ambient noise was very disconcerting - hard to hear my dinner guests at the table - lots of hard surfaces made the busy dining room VERY loud. But ultimately we enjoyed our dinner there. Good Service.“

They even went out of their way to make a beautiful mocktail for my sister who wanted a nonalcoholic drink. I live in Atlanta and plan to frequent this bar often! Loved it so much!“
