“Visiting Atlanta for one day from New York, I looked for recommendations on where to eat and this place popped up, and boy did it not disappoint! I got the banh mi special and coffee smoothie and both were phenomenal, definitely the highlight of my trip. Wish I could come back, too bad I live 1000 miles away 😜“

The only disappointing part was the restroom—it was extremely smelly and really needs attention. The smell was so bad that it honestly made me hesitant even to wash my hands, let alone feel comfortable eating afterward.

Everything else was great, but hygiene and cleanliness are extremely important, especially when it comes to a restaurant. I hope they work on maintaining the restroom better, as it affects both the customer experience and overall sense of cleanliness and safety.

Located on BuHi next to the well known Tea House Formosa, you will find a newly established Banh Mi shop. Not only am I impressed with the menu, the meat to topping ratio, and the baguette is light, fluffy and fresh JUST LIKE in VIETNAM. As if that was not enough, THEY HAVE THEIR OWN SPECIAL SAUCE, a sweet and tangy explosión of flavor. “I HATE PANINI'S. I'm tired of going to a trendy cafes and all they have are your typical pastries that don't ever fill you up. I hate cramp spaces. I hate weak coffee. I hate multiple-stall bathrooms. I can continue with things I hate, but this place is soooo under-rated. It has none of the things I hate. I went here today and it's exactly what I love in a cafe. “This place is very cozy and the cashier was so nice! The banh mis are made fresh so it does take a little longer but it’s so worth it. Everything is well balanced. Bread was fluffy and crunchy. The Vietnamese sauce compliments the juicy crispy wings. No dipping sauce needed for their wings. The grilled pork banh mi - get the pate added and it’ll set it off. The pork was tender and smoky. They have sugarcane juice which was the best refreshing drink for a hot summer day. It’s a modern Vietnamese fusion spot that actually does it right. Family favorites: pork dumplings, lo mein, general chey's stirfry, thai coconut soup, and the salads are actually really hardy and yummy. They have done a lot of give-back fundraisers for the neighborhood fire house and schools over the years and we really love that. We always eat here when the kids come visit from college. “I have been here for about 15 years and finally give them a review. Most typical Vietnamese don’t give reviews and I’m one of them ?. We either come back if it’s good or don’t come back if it’s not good. Food is excellent and still the same for past 15 years and the same owners. My favorite is bún chả cá (fish cakes noodles) and bánh canh cua (crab noodles). My husband likes cơm tấm đặc biệt 7 món (7 special combinations broken rice) and bún bò huế (spicy beef noodles). They all are good. They are like home made food and I typically order them on the days that I don’t want to cook. Give them a try and help the owners stay in business.“
