“Used to go here waaaay back when it was the corner tavern but just started frequenting again since discovering they have live music Sunday evenings. Though it's a jazz jam, the band plays a great variety with some of the drop ins. The food is surprisingly good for a bar. Brisket nachos were my go to but I discovered their salads and roasted brussel sprouts recently ? so there's something for everybody. Cocktails are appropriately strong for a late night spot, bartenders and servers are friendly plus free parking and great entertainment. The crowd varies so you'll see a little bit of everything and feel comfortable hanging out.“

“Went here for lunch with my mom. She loved her burger and I loved my chicken grill mix! Alanna was so friendly and suggested delicious sauce for my bowl. Will definitely return again when in East Point. Great food and friendly staff is a definite plus.“

I was a little disappointed at 1st glance, but that soon changed once I took my 1st bite. I've tried a few places in ATL, but they had one of the best tasting sandwiches. “My friend girl brought me to this restaurant for my birthday. I had the turkey ribs, collards, yams and Mac and cheese and the bread pudding, we even tried the fried green tomato,she had the turkey wings. OH ! My gosh the food was sooo, ( never heard of nor had a turkey ribs) it was so tender and the sauce was point on. I don't mind paying a good piece if the service and food is great. When I left this restaurant I took a picture and posted on Facebook, telling everybody I know about this fabulous time at this place and they got to try it out. The service, and my waiter was a 10 .plus“

“I've eaten here plenty of times before, but this review is for Wahoo! Grill as a wedding venue. As a Decatur wedding photographer, I've photographed multiple weddings at Wahoo! Grill - you wouldn't know from the modest facade that it held a mini oasis out back, a space that can be transformed for intimate ceremonies and 100+ guest receptions alike.

Restaurants come and go, it's an incredibly hard business to get right (pandemics also don't help...) but as evidenced by being a long-time Decatur staple, obviously the food is great. One fewer thing to have to worry about when planning your reception!

If you're looking for a venue that's in a super convenient Decatur location, with tasty food, a beautiful ceremony/reception space, friendly capable staff and (last but not least) ample free parking, then look no further. Excuse the exclamation points, but long may Wahoo! Grill continue!

“You have to try the Cuban sandwich, I’ve never been able to find one better“

“My husband and I was looking for some place new to go for dinner and i found this place on the internet. We had never heard of it and it was close to our home so we decided to check it out. The set up is nice. I believe there are 3 or 4 dinning rooms. The staff was really nice and very attentive. We didnt make any reservations which they do prefer but they sat us still without a wait. The drinks were really good and they did not hold out on the amount of alcohol. Now the dinner. OMG Dinner was off the chain. I tip my hat off to the chef. I had the Honey Glaze Salmon and my husband is vegan so he had The Smoked spinach Asparagus Mashed potatoes and Brocolini. When I tell you this had to be the best food with so much flavor. We were more then pleased. The only complaint we have is the music got really loud. If couldnt hear each other even if you are sitting right next o each other. But other then that I will definitely return and I must say I am adding this to my list of best restaurants in Atlanta.“

“I got a sangria. Not only was my drink full of ice, but it tasted like a dirty towel you clean with. It was the worst drink I’ve ever ordered in my life. Don’t ever order a sangria. Luckily they gave me a replacement drink so I’m glad the service is good here. ?? the tequila cranberry and overall vibe is a lot of fun here“

“Note: This is a 21+ establishment at all times. It is posted all over the entrance to the restaurant. You (most likely) will be asked for ID regardless of how old you look, greying hairs, wrinkles, etc., and you may not be permitted to enter if you do not present a physical, valid ID. Children are not allowed anywhere inside or outside the restaurant. It’s not appropriate for children— there is literally a giant penis statue right next to entrance. I spoke to a very polite hostess who explained this to me and said it is frustrating how many people give her a hard time about this rule and try to bring children in, argue with her because she can’t accept a picture of an ID on the phone, etc. The food is great and the burger was one of the best I’ve ever had. Just bring your ID.“

“This is one of the most beautiful bars I have ever been to! Not only are the cocktails and food outstanding, but everyone who works there is SO kind. Everyone is helpful and attentive. This is the perfect spot to walk to with friends and have drinks and food. You can stop in for just snacks, but you can also have a full dinner there! 10/10 the coolest place ever!! “Just a basic dive bar; but my favorite in the area. Has a pool table, some darts and a golf game, smoking patio out back.

Parking: There is somewhat limited parking around back. Not usually an issue, but at peak hours, you may have to sneak over to the lot next door.. shhhh ;)“

“The experience was more than I expected. My daughter whose in the Navy and stationed oversees came to visit but was leaving on Saturday so I wanted to spend a Friday night with her before she left. Well I was very pleased with the food and the atmosphere. Initially when we arrived I was ready to go to another spot due to it was dead but little did I know we were early. Our waitress I can’t remember her name was the bomb, I give this spot an 11 out of 10.“

“Enjoyed my time here at the start of the bar crawl. The space was not very big for the event, but as people were transitioning in and out it all worked out. There are two bars here separated by a short wall. Then, another area on the side where you can place food orders. You had a direct view into the kitchen from this area. It was a little more quiet over there; at least out of the way of the larger crowd. We had a chicken sandwich (that tasted like fish because of the tartar sauce) and a breakfast quesadilla. That quesadilla was everything. It was flaky and cooked to perfection. It could have used a little seasoning, but it wasn’t bad at all. The mimosas were good too. My favorite was the cranberry. The other two flavors didn’t taste flavored at all; just like champagne. The bartenders were so nice and they worked fast. The young lady serving food was nice too; and they had her serving all those people alone. She stayed poised the e tire time. There is a parking lot right outside the building, but it’s not very big. Street parking is available though. The restrooms here were super cute and super clean. I’d go back here sometime.“

“Shrimp tacos were legendary! Garlic knots; hot, tasty, and ohhh sooo delicious! Honey bbq wings were worth every bite and penny! Owner is such a lovely person, taking time to speak with us. Definitely a fabulous dining experience.“

Had a few great craft beers, but what really made it was Sergio, who did the drinks but also recommended the honey sriracha brussels sprouts - they are absolutely delicious! I run a few BBQ Schools in the UK and I will be doing my homage to this inspired dish on future BBQ Courses - with full credit going to the Atlanta Hawks Bar & Grill at Atlanta Airport!
