“Nice food selection for a bar. Fast service, even with just 3-4 people working they were handling the crowd well. 2 nice adequate restrooms. Drinks strong, didn’t like the heavy salt on the Paloma-should have ordered it without. Rum Punch and Espresso drink good.

-okra portion size is too small. Too much salt on them. Great fresh cook just give more and use less salt.

-Brussels are too oily and buttery-you can see the butter heavy. Good portion just too much butter.

-Brisket Taco-Great value and I loved the BBQ taste. General flour tortilla shell but at least it’s toasted. Would’ve liked the option of fresh corn shell but I understand this is a bar. Was about to order more food, but I already ate. Prices are good all around: pool tables, games, nice chill vibe with some outdoor rooftop seating. Entertainment on some nights. For the overall experience, it’s pretty close to a five star if not already five star to you. If someone gives it a four star, it is the kind of four star that with improvements could easily be a five star, and this could be quite the regular hangout spot for some. Adequate parking on the street and in the rear.“

“I have been here twice now and can say this is just a really fun experience. If you enjoy craft cocktails, or just even something different than the usual fine dining scene GO! You will not regret it.

Onto the details! (without giving too much away). Prepare for like a tasting menu of cocktails. The times I have been there have been 4 cocktails, each paired with a bite of food, and an amuse-bouche. The experience is themed around a 70s-90s cult classic movie that rotates a couple times a year. So far I have been to Karate Kid and Pulp Fiction. They try to do everything they can to lean into the themes, which makes for some really fun drinks (and glasses).

It takes about an hour and a half and there are add-ons as well, I would always recommend the bump, and they probably will too. If you are a big drinker you can supplement with an additional craft cocktail, which are also delicious. If you are a light weight no worries, the standard menu will treat you just right.

The food bites are usually really good for what you would expect out of a taco joint in a bus... Think a mix between bar food and fine dining while trying to adhere to the theme. All together really good flavors and fun bites.

The service, atmosphere, food, and drinks are all top notch. It is just a really fun night, this spot makes for a great date night. Let loose, get into it, and have a great time.

Some tips:
It is two to a table, probably not the place to crowd in with 12 of your friends, although apparently the later serving can get rowdy.

First let me say, the bartender Ashlen was fantastic!!!! She was attentive and went over beer and food options with me. I had the Pernicious IPA and she recommended the Italian flat bread! Food, drink, and service was a 10/10!!!!

“Surprised this place wasn’t busier because we had a wonderful time! Cocktails were excellent — especially the You Only Live Twice, a must if you like gin or vodka. For apps we tried the Snapper Ceviche and the Smoked Trout Croquettes. The ceviche was fresh and bright, but the croquettes stole the show — don’t miss them!
We both had the Salmon Curry with green chili, rice, garbanzo, and green papaya slaw. Absolutely delicious and beautifully plated.

Guaranteed everyone is welcome here, and I mean everyone. It’s diverse from the clientele to the staff and if you have a problem with that then this is certainly not the place for you. On top of feeling safe every time I come here the music is always on point and the drinks are always fire and reasonably priced for a club environment. The staff is kind and attentive from the second you walk through the door. As someone who has worked in nightlife before I know it’s very difficult to make a club feel safe while also working with a million moving parts and you can tell this team puts their heart into it from security to the bar. Sure the lines are long but the wait will always be worth it. Ive lived in nyc, sf, and la and even so I don't think I ever found a place quite like pisces, where you never have to sacrifice good music and a good time for safety and community or anything of the sort. “It’s been a while since I have been to Black Bear Tavern. To my surprise, EVERYTHING is still amazing. Black Bear still provides a casual very laid-back type of environment. This was perfect as my friends and I had a long week and just wanted to partake in great laughs with great food… Upon walking in, the bartender welcomed us and advised us to sit where we would like. All of the empty tables were clean which made me very happy. LoL! Once seated, our waitress came over and greeted each of us with a warm smile and a pleasant welcome. With a traditional American Bar menu setup, we didn’t require too much time to figure out what we wanted. I decided on the Southwestern Egg Rolls as my App and the Swiss and Bacon Burger as my Main! Hear Me When I Say…. Wowsersssssssssssssss!! The Southwestern Egg Rolls are packed with meat and veggies. These are not the kind of egg rolls you find in your grocer's freezer. Along with being a great portion, they were fried to golden perfection. Being set at the perfect temperature makes for a super enjoyable experience. Warm and perfectly cooked insides surrounded by Golden Fried Goodness put me in a place of tastebud-pleasing bliss. I want some more just thinking about them. LoL! The Bacon and Swiss is HUGEEEEEEEEEE… Just like I needed it to be. There is nothing like a Moist, Meaty, Well Done Burger on a Friday. Furthermore, the fresh lettuce, tomato, and pickles allow for a perfect first bite. I decided to pair my burger with Tater Tots (well done) and they literally melted in my mouth. I’m talking golden fried potatoes, lightly salted, still hot as I dipped them in the room temperature ketchup! This is how you Friday Night in the Atl. LoL! Overall, I left full, pleased with the service, and to top it all off… I had food for the next day. Oh yes… I had leftovers!!! LoL!!!“

Their small bites are DIVINE (chicken coxinhas, maduros, yucca fries) but their birria tacos make me lose sleep. They’re SO good! It’s also a cute and safe neighborhood to walk around.
